The VN illustration style isn't ideal, because it includes heavy directionality and color in its lighting effects. This approach helps to establish the scene (e.g. blowjob-at-sunrise or moonlight tryst or whatever), but it also reduces the portability of the hairstyle. A "firelit" hairstyle would look very odd against a dungeon backdrop or an outdoor scene. Your three images use colored gradients, reflection glare, edge-bleeding, and halo effects -- each of which adds complications when we're attempting to create a generic hairstyle.
OVA screencaps would probably be easier to work with because they use bland/nonspecific lighting details. They also include less intricate coloring, which means less work for the SDT artist or modder. The OVA also tones down the sidelocks, which resemble insect antennae in some of the VN images
(but that's just personal prejudice on my part; others might consider the spiky design to be cute and would therefore be upset if it gets flattened down).
Here's an example pulled from a low-res webstream. It's heavily pixelated, which would make it a pain-in-the-ass to trace. If you have access to high-quality (e.g. DVD) copies of the OVAs then you could probably do much better.
Of course, if you really
want the high-detail VN version of the hairstyle and you'd rather
not settle for the low-budget 3-color OVA knockoff ... then you can always choose one of the reference images and trace it on your own initiative. Once that's done, it takes only a few minutes for a modder to fit the vectors onto the SDT template and publish the SWF hairstyle.
