Reviving an older thread. Half a century removed, but you can still sort of see the genesis of military uniforms leading up to the 1700s. These girls are based on Newcastle's Regiment of Foot or "whitecoats" during the English Civil War (1639-1653). Fanatically loyal to King Charles I, most of them died making a last stand at Marston Moor on 2 July 1644.
