What i do is i use a dds converter to convert to PNG (fireworks format) then i edit it and when i save it the quality drops, and when i reconvert it back to DDS the quality drops even further. Im not sure id DXT5 is compatible or not but i will try to change the .dds to .DXT5 and open it with fireworks. If that doesnt work, what program would you suggest i use. I can be quite good if i have the right programs.
