I guess it's frustrating for developers when noobs (like me) come in here requesting this and that without fully understanding what is necessary for their request to be fulfilled.
We don't expect you to understand everything that's necessary. We
do expect you to follow
the rules. One of the stipulations therein is that the first post of your Request thread is supposed to
include a reference image.
Why is that important? Because:
- the most straightforward way to provide a suitable reference image is by taking a screenshot of SDT gameplay
- or perhaps several screenshots, showing before..middle..after. The point is that you're defining the keyframes; an animator can fill in the remaining details
- even a single "before" image would have answered half of my initial questions ("how is the scene framed", "where are her hands", "are her feet visible", etc) instead of wasting time on Q&A
- in order to create that image, you would have needed to install the animtools mod and learn how to use it
- in doing so, you might have found a way to fulfill the idea on your own
- in doing so, you might have encountered a fatal obstacle (e.g. "her feet will never look convincing" or "the camera doesn't respond properly") and abandoned the whole idea
- by posting the initial reference image, you would demonstrate that you've put some effort into the Request
- modders are more likely to get involved if they believe that the initiator is likely to follow through (providing feedback, testing, etc). Nobody wants to spend time on an orphan project
- even if this project is never completed, your initial results (i.e. a "both characters standing" animtools position file) might be used by others for their own gameplay, or for future modding projects
you said "probably" so I would prefer her head be visible if possible
The two characters are equally tall. If they're both standing upright with their feet at the same elevation, then either
both of their heads will be cropped out of the frame or
his creepy headless shoulders will be visible.
You can try to play camera tricks or fudge the foot positions to make the flaws less noticeable. Feel free to upload an animtools file once you've found something that you're happy with.
would prefer the player in control if possible
The point of these questions is to force you to think about
how your scenario might play out (or
why a modder might be asking the question, given that the answer seems so obvious).
Okay, so you want the player to be in control. Great. What does that
mean?
Are they using left-right mouse motions to raise and lower the girl? Is the player's mouse movement superimposed on top of the "kneeling" motion (causing her to
lean left or right)? Does the player need to perform some specific set of input motions before the girl will fully kneel down and the normal SDT gameplay begins?
I have a video I slowed down (will attach) which is (if I remember correctly) is either 35 or 40 frames per second
I asked you how many animation frames would be included in the kneel-down animation. If you'd prefer to answer in seconds (or milliseconds) then that's fine. Answering in FPS is meaningless.
Your video is unavailable (removed due to Terms of Use violation). DailyMotion doesn't allow porn.
If both legs move simultaneously, then she can't change the position of her feet. The initial foot position must match the final foot position (in the kneeling-fellatio pose which will be used for the subsequent gameplay). Which means that she'll need to stand somewhat far away from the male character -- very near to the left edge of the game window -- when she's shown in her initial standing pose.
Or the girl begins by standing very close to the guy ... and then the animator is forced to just inexplicably slide her entire body backwards as she kneels down.
