more costume trouble (1 Viewer)

so i go to delete the reference layer for the body - (chest). and anytime its removed, that body part completely vanishes.

what i don’t understand is, i switched the “var overwrite” to false and it still wont appear. its a bummer because i really need this piece of clothing to show on that layer. hopefully someone can help me out and lead me through this.

Without having looked at the FLA I think I know what this is.
I think you need bodymodpatch by sby.
It was made in response to me having the same issue (I believe) with this mod. That thread found here.
If that helps just explain in the description that your mod requires bodymodpatch and tag it bodymodpatch.
