Overview:
Set in a modern fantasy world, Secret Island puts you in the shoes of a powerful sorcerer and battle-hardened mercenary. After being caught in a war you never wanted to be a part of, you fought just for the chance to get revenge on some people on the other side, just to be betrayed as you got your revenge. Shot and left at sea, you found yourself on an unknown island, saved by a group of intriguing women, not all of them human. Strangely, you've never heard of this place before.

As you settle into life on the island, you quickly realize something is amiss. People can't leave, despite hearing messages from the outside world. Mysterious magic seals protect various parts of the island. People don’t want to talk about other people living on the island. You are filled with questions about who else is living on the island, about who made the magic seals, what dangers lurk around, and why you are there. Both you and your newfound companions harbor secrets.

Explore the island. Discover the lore of this world. Meet new people, bring them to live with you, and delve into romantic relationships with them.

Final release of chapter 8. One more down, 16 to go. This chapter has a lot of setup for things that will pay out later. We should go back to the offensive in the next chapter. If the oozes are to attack again, it should be soon. The second special scene is now available on Patreon/Subscribestar. Like the last special scene, we flashback to a long time ago. This time around 150 years ago, when MC was a young adult and worked as a mercenary. We will watch as he tries to get Bianka, a Half-elf girl, to her father. This scene might give you some insight on how much he changed in the last century.

Chapter 7 was revised and fixed. We got to the end of day 47. A bunch of things happened in this chapter, new questions, and some answers. The breaking of the second seal, and some of its consequences. We might end this one with a bit of a cliffhanger. Now, to chapter 8.

At first, I planned to make releases only of the whole chapter, so the 'main story' was going to happen at the start and end of chapters. With the days in between being more of a slice of life. Since I changed to monthly releases (and after some feedback), I started to better distribute the main story. So we get a bit of the main story each in-game day. I think that has been working well.

The final release on chapter 5. From the beta I have done a bunch of reviews, added sfx, updated walkthrough, and updated the extras screen. I did a bunch of changes to the profile screen, it actually has a profile now. It has some information on the girls, and allow you to change their outfit on this screen. This is the first version of this screen, I do plan to improve it later.

Today is the 1-year anniversary of Secret Island. The first public release was made exactly 1 year from now. 4 chapters released in the spawn of a year. Around the same time it took to make my first release. The first chapter was the hardest, from learning how to use Chara Studio, to getting used to Renpy, and changing my mind about the game, it took way more time than just making it. I believe I made big improvements to the game thanks to the feedback of many of you. So, a big thanks to everyone who plays the game!

Updated Mina&Ami's path. You can choose to not watch their scenes and still add them to the harem later, or complete ignore them.
Multiple grammar fixes. Probably won't be perfect, but certainly better.
Added content filter. The content filter options choice menu will appear for you the first time you start a game or load a save. You can change your choices at the preferences screen.
Added a small tutorial that will show the first time you start a game or load a save, to explain that the order of the choice menu is random, and that the numbers are keyboard shortcuts.
A few people were having issues with animations. I did a change that should fix that. You might need to load a save before the animation in question, or you can rewatch the scenes in the extras.

First update of chapter 11. We plan and execute. It's time to deal with the Casino Gang. We also have a new feature that we are testing. Supporters now have access to update codes. Under the main screen's build version, you can click the update button and input the code. This will allow you to install alphas, betas, releases, and special scenes quickly. This new feature was also added to v0.10.0.1. So, if you have downloaded it and want to update to 0.10.4 you can already use it. This is a new feature, and bugs might occur. If you have any issues, please tell me, and send me any error codes or messages you might get. On a sad note, I couldn't make it work for Mac yet. I believe there are limitations and the SO just won't let me change any files inside the game.
