Job difficulty is also random because I think it helps you "feel" the experience/skill progression. For example, at Lv. 3 the unit can receive a Lv. 1, Lv. 2, or Lv. 3 job. You're very likely to succeed at (and/or survive) a job that's below your current level, whereas taking one that's your current level lowers your success/survival rate to something more like 50%.Also: the dice just fukkin' love you right now.
