Ok, while the Mod works on the very current Tribble Version (and as such, should also work on the regular Holodeck server), there is currently no proper working clothing part that gives a nude effect. On the other hand, the base 'skin' under the underwear DOES work, confirmed by peeking under the skirt of my Rommie as she sits in the lounge chair position.

Edit: Sorry, forgot to mention that the 'No proper working nude clothing part' refers to Romulan females. Partial nudity works, aka the 'Republic' clothing has some holes here and there, that hint at a 'Transparent' part being used there.

It might be trying to extract files and encountering a filename/file path overflow. Try moving your working directory as close to root as possible (e.g. C:\Tools) and then try and extract. Some of the file paths get ridiculously long and cause errors; for example:

Code:
..\costumegeometry\Defs\Costumes\Definitions\Startrekfemale\Geometries\F_Chest_Partial_Wideneck_Shortsleevearms_01_Caitian.Cgeo\F_Chest_Partial_Wideneck_Shortsleevearms_01_Caitian.xml

If you have a large number of folders before this (the ".." bit) you can run into extraction errors.

Unfortunately moving it closer to the root didn't help, still couldn't get it to fully extract and ran into permission issues as well. would you mind uploading a copy of the extracted folder, if its not too large?

ever thinking about adding a already purchased nude top? or are you really that hateful to F2P's
There are free KDF tops that can be removed, but unfortunately, none of the free Fed tops can be removed. I believe this has been covered in the thread (or perhaps in the Loverslab thread). Look for giveaways and such for free items like the TOS tunic that happened with the launch of the New Romulus season to get removable Fed tops for free; there will likely be more similar giveaways when Legacy of Romulus goes live.

Here's the extracted Live (as in not Tribble) costumegeometry .xml files + folders.

For future extraction, try updating the parser resources.json as detailed in the data extraction tutorial.

Thanks for the files, when I tried extracting them, they didn't look anything like what you uploaded. Also you mentioned that to do the swap I would have to do some hex editing, which of course I have no idea how to do. So is there a guide I could look at that help with that? and on a kind of off topic note, I was trying to unpack the Champions online data using the same methods as here, however I can't get the tools to unpack CO's skelifos.bin Any time I try nothing happens and the prompt closes before I can read what the error is. any ideas on that?

To see the errors, open a command window (shift + right click on empty space in a folder on Windows), then run the command options to decompile as detailed in the tutorial (i.e. "Gibbed.Cryptic.ConvertResource -x skelinfos.bin"). Also, update your resources.json again, I've added stuff for Champs' skelinfos.bin.

wow, thx, it seems the set I was using was from way back in December.

Ok so now I unpacked the files, edited them, repacked them and put them in the "\Steam\steamapps\common\champions online\Champions Online\Live\Localdata\bin" folder, but for some reason im not seeing any results in game -_-

Hi just thought I'd mention the obvious, legacy of romulus killed your mod.

anyway for me I just removed skelinfos and dynbouncer and all was fine again, the nude textures still seem to work, I guess it's just anim files at fault but as I only use the jiggle and base nude textures I can't report further.

guessing you knew this was going to happen anyway.

on a side note, glad to see someones picked up the champions project again, really miss the jiggle in that, but updating the mod was a bit much for me (spesh when cryptic change stuff) wish you all the best with it and hope to see a working version up here soon, I played with the jiggle a bit for that too and have kept my old files if you need of them, but they still for an older build of champions and I never figured out how to update them

keep up the good work, and thanks again in advance.

Version 2.4.0 is up at the first post.

2.4.0 Changelog:

New Mods:

  • Clothing Removal Mods: New "Romulan Tops Remover" option. (The removed tops are available after you complete the Romulan tutorial.)

Changes:

  • Many behind-the-scenes updates for Legacy of Romulus compatibility.
  • Various readme fixes.
  • Added "Romulan Civilian Skirt" to skirts remover.
  • Playercostume mods: All Females Naked - (Andoria) Removed Commodity Vendor Taryss' pants.
  • Playercostume mods: All Females Naked - Added many new female NPCs, including most new Romulan females.
  • Playercostume mods: Merged "Naked Female Romulans" into the "All Females Naked" option.
  • "Zoomed Out Headshots" mod removed for now since Cryptic completely changed the contact/headshot styles.

Please report bugs here if you find any; please include which mods you chose, if you report a bug.

Jolan Tru!

Issue identified: The "lighter stockings" and "medium fishnet" stocking mod options seem to have broken, but the "small fishnet" option, for some reason, still works fine.

Until a workaround can be found, I would advise either using only the "small fishnet" option or refraining from using any stocking mods.

Ok, so I've tried both a manual and installer install. In both instances my Romulan officer now has a floating head a little bit of chest, and floating hands, but nothing else. Did I do something wrong, or is this just not working? This happens when either or Both Romulan neutral tops are removed. I'm not to picking a side, so I can't speak as to the romulan fed or romulan klingon tops yet. I see plenty of nude romulan npcs though...

Ah, you've found a bug indeed; if you're only using the Romulan female tops remover, there was a simple naming error, the [..\bin\geobin\Cl\A\F\F_Chest_Partial_Vneck_01.Mset] file should have been named [..\bin\geobin\Cl\A\F\F_Chest_Partial_Wideneck_01.Mset].

Version 2.4.1 now up at the first post:

Changes:

  • Bugfix for Romulan female tops remover (as described above).
  • The broken "Lighter stockings" and "Medium fishnets" options have been temporarily removed pending a fix.

Well that's working Better. :^) Thanks for that, but being the bearer of bad news that I am.. I have to report some new issues. lol Sorry. X^D Any republic neutral top you Do keep now has holes in the upper arms through which you can see skin, and any Undershirt you keep now has the chest missing from it. Maybe not a big issue, and especially not for some people, but I do like to carefully control my nudity. :^D lol
Oh, and I've also discovered in the high def skin textures.. that F_chestblendhead_bare_01 makes alot of my federation outfits look like they've exploded! lol Taking it off cleared that up, and I'm actually not even clear on what that one changes. I noticed the F_head_bare_01 actually made my chracter's faces appear to have Less definition. A little more cartoony, though it did certainly smooth over the little pores/belmishes you get normally. So I took that off too. Not sure that last one could be counted as a bug.. It may be a higher definition look for lower graphics settings, I'm also not sure, but i thought I'd mention it just in case.

And lastly, at least for the romulan fed tops. Romulan fed 01 removes Both romulan fed tops, and romulan fed 02 just puts a bunch of holes in both romulan fed tops. Clipping Everywhere!
Hope this is helpful, and not obnoxious! :^) Cheers!

I can get as far as the Character selection screen, but before it can load anything it crashes. Tried uninstalling and changing the selected mods to instal multiple times, without success. It would appear that the Legacy of Romulus update killed the mod.

If you went in and manually deleted some .mset files trying to keep some removed tops, I'm afraid the side effects you've found are unavoidable. When the neck portion is replaced with the full chest, the clothing should also be removed or else clipping issues will ensue.

If you kept all the .mset files as the installer had them, then that's buggy behavior I'll have to investigate further.

Hmm, odd about that chestblend bit; I can't seen to replicate that behavior on any of my Fed characters.

Are you using the latest version, 2.4.1?

I'm also having the same behavior on one of my fed toons - she's using a tweaked version of the Antares uniform, (different colors and such). From just looking at the behaviour, it appears that the uniform model is a teensy bit too small for the body model underneath - her boobs and her arms clip through the uniform, but only just by the SMALLEST bit. I'll try to get you a screenshot.

So it's kind of an all or nothing deal? Too bad, but the clippings not so awful that I can't handle it. I jsut like to reduce random nudity , and be able to carefully control my own. That way I mostly only see it when I want to. :^) Though I'm still confused on the removal mods for the Fed romulan tops. Where 01 removed Both tops, and though I understand now clipping is an effect of the chest texture, that would imply that the removal mod 02 didn't remove Anything.

And as for the last thing, that Is really wierd, but like I said removing the texture cleared it right up, so I'm not really bothered by it. Liek I said i couldn't even tell the difference between having it on, or off except that My federation chracters outfits went back to normal with it off. Anyway, thanks for the prompt replies! :^)

Yeah, a large number of the new Romulan tops use the same base Chest_Partial_Wideneck geometry, and so changing this to the full chest (which is the whole point of the removal mod) means that you either have to remove all the tops that use the Partial_Wideneck so they are all topless, or else there are clipping issues if you leave some uniform geometries on top of the chest geometry.

On further reflection, this means that the Counselor and TOS Loose tops fall under the same category as the removed Romulan tops, as they too use the Partial_Wideneck geometry. I'll have to change that in the next update.

Just wanted to say thanks again, I was also having similar issues to fractal and came here to see if they had been fixed (I also only like to have SOME nudity and like to be in control of it) but the explanation suits me and I'm mainly just happy the jiggle works.

I must also say, having come back to STO after skipping a couple of updates (left shortly before the fleet bases thing) I expected a lot of the bugs to be fixed by cryptic in this expansion (which they were not) however a modder who releases unofficial patches, complete with installer exe's with more options than you could ever want, fixes things almost immediately and is always helpfull offering advice and such.

I take my hat off to you Password42, I only wish you actually worked at cryptic, but then I guess if that was the case this mod wouldn't exist.

thanks again.
