Any chance you can make it where the Long sleeve shirt is usable as a swim suit replacer? If not, Is there any way I can do this myself? I play a trill, and Not having the spots go up the side is kind of wierd.
Ah, the lack of Trill spots is a bug with the mod, I will try and fix that.

Thank you for the quick reply. I'm trying to do it myself, But I kinda have no Idea what I am doing.

EDIT: Also, How hard would it be to change the Risian Beachcomber set to this?

Well, it all depends on how textures are shared and whether body geometry is rendered underneath the outfit. If the textures for an outfit are unique (or at least nearly unique), and the outfit renders skin geometry beneath it (like with the miner shirt/vest initially selected for this mod), then they can be swapped to the swimsuits fairly easily (or other costume pieces). If the textures are shared with other outfit pieces, then when you do the texture swap all outfits using that texture are affected.

Of course you also have to consider how easy it is to acquire the outfit. The Beachcomber outfit now can only be obtained off the Exchange, and may be very expensive, whereas the Miner outfits are available for a modest dilithium and fleet credit cost from any T3 fleet dil mine -- and even if you're not in a fleet you can still buy it by being invited to a T3 dil mine.

Still, if you (and/or others) would like the Beachcomber parts swapped to swimsuits, I'll investigate and see if it is possible (as well as work on fixing the Trill spots for the existing mod).

For the stuff that replaces uniform parts with the Orion Bikini, you could use the Risian Beachcomber outfit from the Risa Summer event. Under the clothing mesh, it is a nude body. When switching toons, I occasionally see only the panties on my female toons, So I think this would be a good substitute. It also allows people who don't buy zen to get a nude skin eligible clothing.

I did say earlier that you can use the Risian beachcomber outfit because there is a nude model with panties under it. Also, the long sleeve miner shirts work and allow the trill spots to show, but that's what I was having trouble with. Can you also link me to a tutorial on how to model swap for STO and let me know the name of the hogg file that has the beachcomber model and swimsuit model for females in it?

Unfortunately, I just found out that Beachcomber uses the same textures for males and females. Thinking about it though, If the model is swapped, would it still use the beachcomber textures, or would it use the swimsuit's texture pattern?

Yes, the outfits will surely have skin rendered beneath them, so the only problem is texture uniqueness, since the texture swaps are separate from the model swaps. Truthfully, the current swimwear mod has the side effect of changing the textures of male miner outfits as well, since the textures are shared. However, I felt that was a small price to pay for the mod functionality. Likely the same situation will apply to the Beachcomber pieces, when I get the time I'll check it out.

What about the TOS Nurse or Medical top? Unique Model and texture? I would be willing to try to help, but neither GIMP or Paint.net will open any of the DDS files. Is there any way to fix this?

I really try not to ask for much because you've done such an awesome job with the mod and patches - but with the miner uniform allowing Risian Swimwear now (excellent work by the way) - is there something Fed side you could replace with the bare feet for Bridge Officers?

Hmm, I take it boffs can't wear off-duty uniform pieces, which seems like a retarded restriction but, well, it's Cryptic, I wouldn't put it past them. I might be able to swap something around to make it happen, it just gets awkward trying to override textures, sometimes they don't work out like they should. I'll take a look at it, though.

No - they can't wear off duty pieces, but they can use the miner uniform. It shows as an actual uniform option for them. I'd appreciate you looking into it, but I love the mod and wouldn't want to cause you any extra work.

oh and as an FYI, the mods are crashing the new featured episode with Worf. right now it's looking like the skelinfos.bin file. it crashes as soon as you see a security drone. I deleted the bin files and ran through adding one at a time.

Hey I love your mod but there are some things I was wondering if you could change. There are 2 leg models that go with skirts; F_Hips_Skirt_Legs_01 (which most skirts use) and F_Hips_Skirt_Legs_Full_01 (which the tos skirts use). the Legs of F_Hips_Skirt_Legs_01 are deformed where they are dented inwards at the inner thigh, however F_Hips_Skirt_Legs_Full_01 doesn't have this problem. Can you replace the model from F_Hips_Skirt_Legs_01 to F_Hips_Skirt_Legs_Full_01.
Also can you replace the regular boot style named "Short Boots" with the seven of nine short boots so they can be used on fed romulans? Thanks in advanced.

The skirt leg fix is definitely possible, I'll include that next update. Short Boots are only dependent on textures, if the textures are sufficiently unique I can include that mod as well.

Awsome this is good news, thanks for the hard work! If the short boots dont work out maybe theres another fed boot style that can be turned into the seven of nine shoes.

btw how do you do the replacers, i tried just replacing and renaming the files but they just show up invisible when i load the game. I'm guessing you have to edit something inside them?

The current method of model swapping involves editing decompiled .bin files (specifically costumegeometry.bin) to model swap, and then swapping textures (just copy/renaming .wtex files). The *.bin compiling process has changed slightly since I wrote the tutorial, but the process is automated by the installer so you don't have to know what is going on, although if you're really curious you can watch your Localdata/bin folder while the installer is running to see just what is happening ;) .

I'm mainly curious about how to swap the models (.mset) themselves. What do you use the decompile .bin files btw?

The old method of model swapping is by hex editing .msets, but that's just a can of worms and the same functionality can be achieved much more easily by modifying costumegeometry.bin. If you're interested on how to do that, send me a PM.
