Level Playthrough: "The Rusted Forge"


Setting:

The level takes place in an abandoned factory-turned-hideout known as The Rusted Forge. The sprawling industrial complex is filled with towering machinery, flickering overhead lights, and a cacophony of mechanical creaks and groans. The air smells of oil and rust, and shadows stretch across the cold metal walls. Ten female enemies, each with unique roles and personalities, guard the factory. The player is armed only with a knife and must eliminate them all through stealth and brutal close-quarters combat.

Enemy Encounters

1. Freya ("The Foreman")


    Position: Overlooking the main factory floor from a metal catwalk, barking orders to the others.

    Appearance: Broad-shouldered, wearing a heavy utility vest and gloves. A commanding presence.

    Personality: Stern and no-nonsense, always focused on efficiency.

    Encounter:

    The player climbs a ladder to the catwalk, sneaking behind Freya as she peers down at the floor. The knife slices across her throat in a clean motion. Freya’s hands shoot up to the wound, blood gushing between her fingers. Her eyes widen in shock as she crumples to her knees, collapsing against the railing before slumping lifelessly to the metal grate.


2. Ayla ("The Mechanic")


    Position: Fixing a broken conveyor belt in a side room, tools scattered around her.

    Appearance: Grease-stained overalls, short blonde hair under a welding mask.

    Personality: Cheerful and talkative, often mumbling to herself while she works.

    Encounter:

    Ayla hums softly, oblivious to the player approaching from behind. The player grabs her shoulder, spinning her around before plunging the knife into her abdomen. Ayla gasps, dropping her wrench as she stumbles back, clutching the wound. She collapses onto the conveyor belt, her blood pooling and staining the surface as her body goes still.


3. Zara ("The Operator")


    Position: Sitting in the control room, monitoring security feeds.

    Appearance: Slim and sharp-dressed, with glasses and a headset.

    Personality: Analytical and detached, preferring to oversee from a distance.

    Encounter:

    The player sneaks into the control room, creeping behind Zara as she leans forward, focused on the monitors. A quick stab to the base of her neck causes her to jolt violently, knocking over her coffee mug. Blood trickles down her chest as she collapses onto the desk, her lifeless eyes staring at the screens she once commanded.


4. Mae ("The Welder")


    Position: Welding metal plates in a corner of the factory, sparks flying.

    Appearance: Tall and muscular, wearing a welding helmet and apron.

    Personality: Gruff and hard-working, proud of her strength.

    Encounter:

    The player uses the clamor of the welding to mask their approach. Mae notices the shadow too late; the knife plunges into her side. She roars in pain, swinging wildly with her welding torch, but a second stab silences her. Her body slumps against the wall, the acrid smell of her torch mingling with the coppery scent of blood.


5. Lila ("The Lookout")


    Position: Patrolling the factory’s perimeter, flashlight in hand.

    Appearance: Athletic, with a high ponytail and a tactical jacket.

    Personality: Focused and disciplined, always scanning for threats.

    Encounter:

    Lila rounds a corner, her flashlight beam sweeping the area. The player waits in the shadows, springing forward as she passes. The knife finds its mark between her ribs. Lila gasps, the flashlight clattering to the floor as she collapses into the shadows, her final breaths echoing faintly.


6. Nia ("The Engineer")


    Position: Inspecting a control panel near a large piece of machinery.

    Appearance: Compact and agile, with glasses and a tool belt.

    Personality: Nervous but meticulous, constantly checking her surroundings.

    Encounter:

    The player approaches while Nia is engrossed in the control panel. Sensing movement, she turns just as the knife plunges into her chest. Her hands claw at the player’s arm, but her strength fades quickly. She slides down the panel, leaving a streak of blood as her body crumples to the floor.


7. Rhea ("The Muscle")


    Position: Standing guard by a massive furnace, arms crossed.

    Appearance: Broad and intimidating, with tattoos snaking up her arms.

    Personality: Overconfident and brash, relishing a fight.

    Encounter:

    Rhea notices the player too late, but she manages to throw a punch as the knife strikes her side. A struggle ensues, but the player delivers a fatal stab to her throat. Blood sprays across the furnace as Rhea gurgles, her strength giving out. She collapses in a heap, her tattooed arms going limp.


8. Sera ("The Scout")


    Position: Surveying the factory floor from a stack of crates.

    Appearance: Lean and agile, with a tactical vest and fingerless gloves.

    Personality: Observant and cautious, always alert.

    Encounter:

    The player climbs the crates silently, emerging behind Sera. The knife plunges into her back, and she arches in pain, letting out a muffled cry. She collapses forward, tumbling off the crates and landing with a sickening thud on the concrete below.


9. Elise ("The Medic")


    Position: Sorting through medical supplies in a makeshift infirmary.

    Appearance: Short and composed, with a white lab coat and a first-aid kit.

    Personality: Calm and caring, dedicated to keeping her team alive.

    Encounter:

    Elise doesn’t notice the player until it’s too late. The knife pierces her chest, and she gasps, her eyes filled with disbelief. Blood stains her coat as she collapses against the supply table, knocking over bandages and syringes.


10. Kara ("The Leader")


    Position: In the central control area, issuing commands over the radio.

    Appearance: Tall and commanding, with a tactical suit and sharp features.

    Personality: Charismatic and ruthless, a natural leader.

    Encounter:

    The player confronts Kara in a tense, one-on-one battle. Kara fights back fiercely, using a metal pipe as a weapon. After a brutal exchange, the player feints and drives the knife into her chest. Kara gasps, her strength faltering as she falls to her knees.

    "You think this ends here?" she whispers before collapsing.


Ending Scene:


The factory is silent, the clang of machinery replaced by the stillness of death. The player walks through the bloodstained corridors, leaving behind a trail of fallen enemies. The final door creaks open, revealing a new path forward into the unknown.


Achievement Unlocked:

"Silent Blades" – Eliminate all enemies in The Rusted Forge using only a knife.
