Welcome to my background thread!​

IMPORTANT NOTE : My classic static PNG backgrounds were hosted on a wikia/Fandom, but they decided to close this wiki, so they're only available on MEGA in my archive. The SWF backgrounds are hosted here and are available in the ressource manager.

All my backgrounds are listed here.
Each static (PNG) background is sized 700x825 pixels, some animated and 16/9 (SWF) backgrounds may have different heights and widths. All have been cropped and resized to give a realistic perspective. Unfortunately, the resizing make some of them look quite blurry, and some may also seem to have strange proportions.

My Static Background Tutorial will show you how to make a realistic static PNG background in less than one minute.
My Animated Background Tutorial will show you how to make an animated SWF background (but not in less than one minute ).

The backgrounds are categorised into separate posts for an easy search:

• Animated backgrounds
• HD animated backgrounds
• HD & XL backgrounds

Note on background numbering : backgrounds of the same theme have numbers (eg. "Bedroom 04"), but there is different kinds of backgrounds, and the same number for the same theme may not represent the same image (eg. static PNG "Background - Bedroom 04" may not be the same as "Animated Background - Bedroom 04" or "HD Background - Bedroom 04").
Anyhow, numbers are shared in the 16/9 backgrounds (eg. "HD Background - Bedroom 04", "2XL Background - Bedroom 04", HD Animated Background - Bedroom 04", etc. feature the same bedroom, possibly with different points of view).

Please keep in mind that I did all these backgrounds, but not the images.
This means that I selected, cropped and resized images, or decompiled SWFs that were made by others.
Some original works may have licenses that do not legally allow to reuse them commercially (or even not at all).
I consider these backgrounds are a fair use of the original artworks and can be used and reused by anyone, but remember that I am not the author nor the copyright owner of these images, so I cannot allow their commercial use for example.

If you are the author or the copyright holder of one or several of the artworks used, and do not want them to be used as SDT backgrounds, or want to be credited for your work, please contact me.

The HD backgrounds have 16/9 proportions, while the XL backgrounds are a new kind of 16/9 backgrounds where you can change the position and possibly the scene using the arrow keys.
The number in front of XL represents the number of scenes (eg. the "4XL Bedroom 03" has 4 different times of the day for the same bedroom).

Again nice backgrounds and you were right about what you told me via karma message earlier... Though I do recommend some spoiler tags or reducing the amount of pics displayed. There are quite a lot here.

These are great, thanks! Very well proportioned (and the links are easy to download from too!)

If you are looking for additional ones, to make, then one showing the red to the right of "Bedroom (2) " or one showing the bed to the left of "Bedroom (20)" would be good - if they work out.

Thank you, my template to make background is really a good tool for this, I could make 124 backgrounds and their examples in only... 4 hours. ;D

If i recall good, the bed of "bedroom (20) was problematic with the perspective, that's why I let only the right end part.
I made the most that I could with skullhammer's images. More points of view are of course possible, but I don't think it would bring something really better.

Thank you, but as i said to MG on my import thread, I don't really like spoilers because they hide things from the forum's search engine, and also from the web browser's search engine.
Here, if for example you are looking for a bedroom or a kitchen, you just have to press CTRL+F and type "bedroom" or "kitchen", and then choose one.
I have put a list in a spoiler in the top post, but as for hair mods, I don't think that only words will make one love an image or not, it is always better to see the things.

I decided to add some new backgrounds and I got carried away and made five hundred new ones...

I added them to the other ones and I also put everything in spoilers and removed the images showing the display in SDT, because there was really too many images on this page.
Just remember that you'll see the bottom of the background if the game is zoomed out and its top if zoomed in.

EDIT: I am currently optimizing the size of all my backgrounds, reducing their file size about 40 to 70%. The new version should be available tomorrow, along with an archive regrouping them all.
EDIT 2: All the backgrounds have been optimized and there's an archive in the first post.
