I was watching NXT, which made me think about lovely up-and-coming Diva Paige (the former Britani Knight).  Another NXT talent, Big E Langston, just debuted on RAW and I thought wouldn't it be great if Paige had been promoted instead?  I wonder how Big E would take that news...

Unhappy Trails

Paige (TheCrimsonRisk)

I stand in the middle of the ring, trying to contain my emotion.  The NXT fans have been so supportive.  The cameras have already stopped rolling, but the officials have allowed me to stick around and say a few words.

"I just want to say..."  I start to get choked up.  "...what an honour it's been to perform for you guys."  My charming British accent adds a layer of class and dignity to my departure.

My body is covered in a sheen of sweat from the match I just wrestled.  It was hard fought and though I'm sore, I just can't bear to leave the ring.  I take a few steps to compose myself, giving everyone a good view of my body in my black shorts and top.

I'm about to continue when loud music cuts off my speech...

Big E Langston (Raden)

* Big_E_Langston comes storming down to the ring, looking like an enraged bull... this was supposed to be my callup! Who the hell changed the plans?

Well, I'm jumping the line...

I get into the ring, and without wasting any time, barrel at you like a freight train and nearly decapitate you with a massive clothesline

Paige

"Big E!"  I'm not sure what he wants, but he doesn't look happy.  "What..."

*THOOM*

The stiff clothesline turns my lights out for a moment.  The microphone in my hand caused the impact to reverberate around the arena.

When my vision clears, I'm curled up on the ground holding my face.

Big E

I'm exhaling hard through my nose. If I were any madder, smoke or fire might be coming out.

I'm looking to make sure this is as close to the WWE's main roster as you see.

I reach down and grab you by the hair, hauling you to your feet against your will. I stare hard into your eyes for a moment before I get between your legs and hoist you easily up onto my wide shoulder.

I stand in the middle of the ring for a moment... and then fall down, landing on my back and slamming you face first off the canvas with my finisher, the Big Ending.

Whoever said the human body can't bounce has just been proven wrong...

Paige

The room is still spinning as I'm hoisted up into the air.  "E!  E...don't!"

I kick my legs and pound a fist against your chest, but you don't seem to notice at all.

Suddenly, I'm plummeting towards the canvas.  Every part of my body, from my knees to my stomach to my face, lands hard.  I flop around before settling down on my back.

Never felt anything like that before...

Big E

I stand up, still seeing red. Once clearly wasn't enough.

I reach down and scoop you up, getting under your legs and your back/neck, picking you up like one would hold a baby

Then I roll you back onto my shoulder, and after another short delay to make the crowd realize what is about to happen...down you go again.

I could probably do this all day... I'm capable of deadlifting you, which isn't really hard given the size discrepancy.

Paige

As I'm lifted up again, my WWE dream has quickly turned into a nightmare.  That first Big Ending was more than enough to take all the fight out of me.  I can't take another one.  I can't!

As you hold me up, I tap weakly on your side, signalling my submission...maybe you'll let go...

I go numb again as the impact from the maneouvre sends me into shock.  I lay on the mat twitching.  People are booing and screaming.

Big E

My move may be called the Big Ending... and it's threatening to put a big ending on your main-roster WWE career before it starts.

I ignore the fans. I don't care what they think. This is my time, damn it!

I scoop you up off the canvas again. Without a shred of remorse, you're easily hiked up again. Even when your body is limp like this, I can just do whatever I want.

The only place left to go from here... is down.

*BANG!* That one may have broken a slat under the ring... or some ribs. Not entirely sure which.

Paige

This time there's no movement on my part.  No feeble kicking, no sign of submission...my mind knows what's going on, but my body is wasted.

My body doesn't bounce and I feel the entirety of the move through my bones.  Even though I've been landing on my front, my spine is badly jarred and everything feels out of place.

I lay on top of your massive, muscular body, breathing sporadically.

Big E

This time, you don't roll off me, so I have to push you off of me.

I get up again. The booing of the crowd is deafening.

I decide to finish the job on your back and spine.

I pick you up and haul you over my shoulder again, but this time, you're slung over it back-first and not stomach-first. You're wondering if I'm about to do my finisher in reverse when the answer comes... my hands lock over your chin and chest and begin to pull downward, viciously.

To compound the backbreaker, I start to bounce you up and down.

Paige

I'm brought back to consciousness in the worst way possible.  Through sheer pain.

"HHRRRNNNNAAAAAAAAAH!!!"  I scream louder than I thought was humanly possible.

With every bounce I hear a crack or a snap or a pop.  The sound of my bones being destroyed are audible to the closest fans who sit in stunned silence.

Big E

There is an evil smile on my face which only gets wider with every crunch and scream.

Every pop is another possibility you won't return to action.

Maybe it's your bubble being popped, the bubble of your dreams of being a WWE Diva

I grind the hold in a little tighter, shaking you back and forth.

Paige

"...uuuuunnn....uuuuuh..."

Moments ago I was delivering a heartfelt farewell and now I'm reduced to moaning.

There's a sickeningly loud crunch and my whole body quivers.  My legs seem to move independent of my torso as my ragged form is manipulated in an inhuman manner.

It's obvious to everyone watching...and you...that my back is broken.

Big E

Your career may have just hit a "big ending" of its own, when your back is broken in this hold.

And despite that, I still drop you like a hefty sack in the middle of the ring.

I stand over your body, as serious as possible... I won't be overlooked anymore.

With that, my music hits, and I head to the back as the EMTs come down urgently to tend to you.
