My fascination of ryona began many years ago through 90s beat em up games like Final Fight and Fighting Force.  There were female henchwomen you had to defeat in order to progress through the game.  You couldn't show mercy or go easy on them, you had to beat them up with the same moves you used on the male baddies.  These henchwomen were also usually dressed up in a very slutty manner (and in some cases, the henchwomen were far more attractive than the female protagonists you can play).
