The Loud House features a cast of characters based on creator Chris Savino's own experiences with his large family. The series takes place in a fictional town situated somewhere in Michigan named Royal Woods and mainly revolves around Lincoln Loud as he interacts with his ten other sisters. New characters were introduced over time, including Lincoln's best friend Clyde, Lincoln's other school friends and classmates, faculty at Lincoln's school, Lincoln's extended family, Lincoln's neighbors, various citizens of Royal Woods, the Casagrande family, and anyone appearing in the animated shorts, films, podcasts, and graphic novels.
