EDIT: Just noticed other people are having issues too. I did not think about the awakening for DK being added since I have yet to level one up myself. I also don't change any of the weapon settings in the patcher. Just thought I'd point that out.
Ok so I went through the usual steps to patch BDO, first by unzipping the resorep archive into the "paz" folder and then proceeding to run the patch itself, launching it as an administrator for good measure. I forgot to mention I did a manual backup of my meta file by simply copying it to another folder and adding today's date at the beginning of the file name itself. (this is just something I do whenever I make manual backups. Sometimes I'll add the ".bak" extension at the end of the file and simply leave it in the folder)
Anyways....After I finished selecting to remove all starter armors and underwear like I usually do so that I can actually still wear armor and have to option to go streaking in towns and what not lol. I also did the default body parts sizes as well (1.00min ; 1.10default ; 1.30max) Then let the patcher do it's thing and after it completed I closed it out by choosing the "exit" option within the patcher menu itself. This is where I noticed something that I forgot to mention yesterday because I didn't think anything of it at first, but since it happened again and again I got the corrupted file error, it might be worth mentioning - After the program window closed I got an error from Windows asking if the program had been installed correctly with the option to choose yes, or no and run troubleshooter.
Other than these past two instances, I've never had this error using the patcher.
So I had the file checker do it's thing and now the files are fixed. I haven't tried running the patcher again though, not until I hear back from somebody at least. I did copy the meta file made by the patcher along with the backup it made prior to patching and moved them out of the paz folder along with the patcher itself and the two folders that come with it. I did this prior to letting BDO fix my files. Luckily this time I didn't have to reinstall the entire game lol, which was a mistake on my part last time.
Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to make sure I included everything I encountered while trying to repatch my game. This is probably a better question to ask later, but since I'll be at work until this evening I'll go ahead and ask now so I can troubleshoot later. After patching the game, can I remove the patcher.exe itself, along with the patcher_resources and source_codes folders as well as the backup meta file it made and put them into another folder until the next time I have to patch the game, or do they need to stay there in order for the patch to work after it's patched the game? (if that makes sense? I just confused myself kinda lol)
Thanks.
