Are all these character codes set for a specific version of SDT or will that work on any version? Cus every time I paste the codes in the settings don't change and the proportions look wrong..

Should work with any version, it certainly does with the most recent. Check if you're doing it right.

I downloaded the hair and background and "imported" them into the game via the "modding" menu. Then i copy the character code into the games box titled "Custom save data" then clicked "generate". but when I them play the game but the girl's sizes and colors the code was supposed to set them to haven't been changed. For example I'm seeing Holo from Spice and Wolf with with the default features, not the ones i saw in the code

then clicked "generate"

You want to click Load, which applies the code you pasted in. Generate makes a code of the current girl.
