La Mouette Noire (1 Viewer)

sort of. most of the next issue is going to take place underwater, so i have been preparing scenery and props. i have also been procrastinating a little because i am not sure how i want to do the the story after this next issue. La Mouette Noire is one of the first projects i worked on, so all of the models i use are pretty outdated compared to the models i use now. for instance the models i have now have actual morphable genitals instead of just a little dent between their legs! so i want to update the models, but i also want to update how they look, to give Mara and the others custom tattoos and maybe makeup that i will design instead of just using someone else's tattoos.

but doing all those new designs takes a lot of time, and updating the models takes time (and i must be careful, or if i mess up i might lose a model), and i also want to make the new models and textures part of the story.

so right now i do not have anything to show, i am just doing background work for later. i will try to make a quick picture sometime soon though.

i am pretty happy for issue 6. it gets really REALLY bloody in the second half. it is a little frustrating because the first half is mostly just talking. of course in my comics it is proper conversation etiquette to be naked and rub yourself all over the person you are talking to, so it is not completely a bore! still i would like to get better at putting some gore on the first few pages of the issue. i have a good plan to do that for issue 7!

my main hard drive has crashed. it is warrantied so i will have a new one soon, but i do not know yet how much of my data i will be able to get back. i hope i will get back all of it of course, but maybe i will not be able to get back any of it. if that happens, then all of my art will be finished for a very long time. i will have to rebuild my entire library of poser assets, and all of the things that i made myself, including all of my characters and scenes, will have to be made again as close as i can from my memory.


but i hope that will not happen! if i can get my data back then La Mouette Noire will be a little late this week but otherwise on schedule.
