Well, if you're looking for pointers.

- Raise the height of the top of the hair.
- Raise the hair in front of her eyes until it's just above her eyes.
- Replace the aurole highlight for "V" highlights (see example).
- Split the end of the bang into two.
- Split the strands of the short part of the bang so it looks less like a single piece.
- Thicken and lengthen the shadow strokes slightly.
- Slightly darken the hair.

But haven't got any reference from the anime when her hair, in profile and no motion behaves like in the pic you provided (did see it before and thought about it)

While anime screenshots usually do have plenty of profile view shots, I find them sometimes lacking in lighting detail, or detail in general. The official art I posted may not be the perfect profile view, but it gives a better understanding of lighting detail, so a cross-reference would be preferable in order to achieve the best quality (when lacking a perfect reference of course). Admittingly, cross-referencing is sometimes more than I would like to get into when having a demotivated mood, but TDream makes surely I falter less.
This will probably be the most labour-intensive suggestion, but I would suggest the outline of the bangs and front hair from the left screenshot, the back hair from the middle screenshot, then try to apply the lighting from the official art. The one thing that is typical about Yui are the many thin long-ish strands of hair (just like the main boys' sister, what's her name).
I like seeing you pick up the rest of the To LOVE-ru characters, or whatever the correst capitalisation of this series' title is. Never could get it right. Yui is definitely among my favourites, but was never among the characters requested on this forum and thus somehow not among my portion of this series' imports.

Yeah that's true! Have many times made my own "retouch" due to many times the reference isnt enough or how you imagined it to be.
Gonna give it a try later, luckyily the back part is pretty much already done. It sure is, and also that thing that made her harder than I actually thought she would be^^ Her name is Mikan, and I hope to get her done soon as well.

Started to read Negima recently and find it pretty fun, and have recently gotten a bit bored at the series Im working with so why not expand it and add Negima to the list?
