I applaud your efforts and like what you have achieved. However, I think this game stinks, so I'm going back to playing Tomb Raider Legend until further notice.

That I think this game is very good in the graphic look, although the mods are in Dx9, in DX 11 is very accomplished, ... the story ... mmh! good is passable but perhaps the extremely developed a little gore ... in short, not the typical Tomb Raider ... is Reborn!

Nice work but I can't get the nuderaider-mod to run properly. Is there a way to make this mod available without usage of texmod ? I've done what is needed to be done (changed reg entries to DX9, chose WIN XP SP 3 compatibility mode) to no avail. After I choose "run" in texmod the game crashes "Tombraider.exe isn't working anymore". I begin to hate texmod.
Is it necessary to start a new game ?

YES, but not in steam.

and third ... your game boots, without Texmod, fine in Dx9 and settings in High??

YES. Almost everything is set to high. Is there a specific graphic option that has been set to high ?

Whenever I launch the game through texmod, Win 7 says "tombraider isn't working anymore" but the launch screen is still there and I can launch the game so I guess that just texmod/umod crashes. I tried Umod too, same result.

Hope you have an idea.:)

Also little annoying thing is, that tex-/Umod changes the icon of the tombraider.exe. I can't see how to revert this.

Steam Users:

- Instructions (Steam Version):

1º- In order to use this, you need Texmod:

texmod - Universal Modding Engine - uMod games on the fly! - Google Project Hosting

2º- Rename TombRaider.exe to TombRaiderOriginal.exe
3º- Rename Texmod.exe to TombRaider.exe
4º- Launch the game via Steam, it should execute Texmod instead of the game.
Note: No launch the .exe within the games folder launch it through the TR-link from the desktop.
5º- Click on the folder icon below "Target Application" then select your TombRaiderOriginal.exe.
6º- Now, you need to select .tpf file, click on the folder icon just above the red cross and select one.
7º- Click run to load the game.
"Some antivirus may detect a trojan, that's a false positive well known of Texmod"

Note:
If you have a ton of the .tpf files for texmod you can go through and number them (i.e. 01-modname.tpf , 02-modname.tpf etc.) and sort them that way in the order you want them to load then just CTRL+A and select all the mods in the folder and TexMod will load them all at once in order so you don't have to spend forever loading each file.

Yes. I did exactly these steps. The only effect this seems to have is that texmod "consumed" the TR-icon and replaced it with it's own icon.:(

EDIT: Ah, forget it. I found my mistake. I launched the .exe within the games folder. I had to launch it through the TR-link from the desktop. Then it WORKS ! :)

how to run the game in Directx9

To grampared:

for example, try this:

1º load eyes addon.
2ª boots addon.
3º shirts addon.
4º dirt and blood remover.
5º nude mod.

then you select the last mod loaded and click run. ok

To igorek:

see the file attached "to run mods"
into have a archive called direct9x.reg - execute. ok.
then other file called highsettings.reg - execute too. ok.
now you can run any mod post in this and others theads for Tomb Raider 2013(reborn)
