I wish I was clever enough to understand this topic as I know being able to do this stuff would be so useful to me as a texture modder ... ah well, maybe in time I'll start to make sense of it.

One of the reasons I wanted to dump all the costumes was so that texture modders such as yourself can have more things to play with (and as such benefit myself too!). Feel free to ask us for anything in particular you're looking for. :)

Hi mina-san,

what is the code for the default underwear of the valkyrie, i try by elimination and nothing, under the PVW underwear section, even if i change all code to the one a i want, 0 change in the game.
i'm still able to change Sorceress one with no problem following the guide.

EDIT 1 : ok i found what was wrong, i was missing the line of the default valkyrie UW in my .xml file, added it, and it worked.

Since Shudad is a combo item, I have this in partcombinationdesc.xml

Now in character select I can see the gloves and assumed it was fine.

But when I go in, both gloves and boots are missing.

Interestingly, when I hit F3 or F4, the full sized model shows all the correct equipment.

But to add another weird thing, if while in the cash shop I toggle hide costume on and off, the gloves and boots are gone, and I have to leave the cash shop and come back to get it to load again.


Any ideas?

EDIT: I think I may have figured it out. Will report back after further tests.

1st: Are you sure you don't have the "Show Underwear" option on? When I leave it on and then log out, when I come back, my character comes back without gloves and boots as well.

2nd: It has to be something related to your Conquerors pack armor, because I copied and pasted exactly your lines from the multiplemodeldesc.xml, but I replaced the starter armor since I don't have the other one to test it:


It worked fine in all the cases you mentioned.

My guess would be there is something wrong in the partcombinationdesc.xml you put (maybe it was not necessary, who knows)

My multiplemodeldesc.xml has only this, and my partcombinationdesc.xml is unchanged

Yeah it's a bit strange. I can see the gloves and boots load up correctly for a split second and then disappear. My parts xml may be a bit dirty though, since I was playing around with it before. My multi xml only had those entries on it.

How I solved this particular issue on my client was by just having the upper body replaced in multi, and then filling out the whole set in parts like so:

    <Foot MeshFileName="1_Pc/7_PVW/Armor/12_Foot/PVW_10_Foot_0009.pac"/>
</Upperbody>

So multi tells the client to replace 00 0007 with 10 0009, and then it goes to the 10 0009 entry in parts and renders all the pieces over anything else I'm wearing. My Shudad helm in this instance was overriden. I might re-init my whole character folder and muck around some more.

Man this guide is so nice but i just cant manage to change, lets say the Agerian armor for Valkyrie to display it as the Venslar outfit (the red one) . i tried to change the PVW_00_UB_0001 part with PVW_00_UB_0002 for the Venslar outfit but i just cant find the hand and foot parts. even tough, the armor wont change to me. i hope you get the script thing to replace the armors easily cause this is somewhat to hard for me to comprehend.

Have you tried the latest version? (v1.4) I'm pretty sure I fixed that. If I didn't, let me know.

You have to open the texture, and paint the alpha chanel where you want it to be invisible ,black.
