You guys should stop fighting. If something break, an update will come and it will be fix. If you figured out how to fix those things before the update come out, great, thank you for your attempt to try and fix it but don't try to do the things the modder tell you not to do. They're the only one who know how the program work. As always, try to read the instruction and follow the recommended settings, I haven't had a single problem with the mod.

Anyhow, thanks to the modders for creating and revive this mod, without you, the mod would have been dead.

Never said it is a fix, I said this is how I do it, thought i'd share it, I didn't not create a law that said that ppl should do what I do.

Hello again. I didn't know for report issues guidance so:
BDO Toolkit 1.3.0
META Injector 1.4.0
Restore N'Patch 1.2.1
Resorepless v3.6f
I don't use custom files
Patching method used in meta injector: Keep files and folders structures
Client EU
Meta version 697
I try to install the mod but i don't see him in the game. I can launch the game with Restore N'patch and play without problems.
I can't take a video so there is some pics:
Capture.PNG Capture1.PNG Capture2.PNG Capture3.PNG Capture4.PNG Capture5.PNG

Today is the first time I've had a problem with Resorp/Meta/RnP. I updated all the things, ran it, got an error about duplicate files, continued, got a corrupt file on launching the game.

Using the Remove and Restore option in Resorp resolved the corrupt file issue and it has not reared it's ugly head again! Try it!

This is notable because of how many attempts I've made to get Suzu's textures working this update:

Everything worked fine if I just use what's included with Resorp, but Suzu's textures freaked out no matter what I did, with or without Resorp or RnP, just Meta Injector, whatever...turns out I'd forgottent o drop Suzu's partcut file back in when I was reinstalling after the Remove and Restore...I just wanted to share, because it goes to show we can make stupid mistakes sometimes.

DO YOU KNOW how confusing it is, if one says you should keep file structure, and the other says let the program decide??
WHO created that confusion in the FIRST place?
I gave an alternate way to go about this.
And because it does not fit your ideals, you stomp in the ground. Regardless if it will work or not.

And even if my post was useless, YOUR ATTITUDE NEEDS AN ADJUSTMENT period.
You will keep getting this attitude while you make stupid comments.
Your "alternate way" makes ZERO difference when it comes to the patching mode, the recommended mode still works the way it would've if you had not touched the files, and the "automatic" mode would still fail to properly patch things when there are identical file names, that's that mode's flaw, and the numerous warnings are meant to get that message through to people who have two eyes.

The "confusion" is caused by the fact that the old meta injector defaulted to the second option, when I created my port, I changed that since the different patching method introduced a greater risk of causing crashes and other unintended results, resorepless has a comment telling you to change back to the other mode if you have custom files that are not in their correct paths, but the comment was added before the changes to how customization files work, and now the second option is NEVER viable if you use body customization files.

This now works but the new meta injector isn't copying my old textures over if I choose "keep files and folders"

I feel like I don't know what the actual step by step instructions are? I can get nude textures, I can get sliders but I want my modified armor textures and have NO idea what do it. I never copied them to the .resorepless folder in the past. They just sat in a folder called "textures". They copy fine when I select "let the program decide" but I get a file corrupted error entering the game.
Rename "textures" to "texture", create another folder "character", drop the "texture" folder inside it.

Something is really wrong with your set up when your meta file always stays outdated.
Remove ALL the tools you have in the Paz folder and run a file check, remove all the backups. Download the LATEST versions of all the tools, this includes resorepless, older versions of BlackFireBR's tools may tamper with the backups due to a flaw in the way they used to check for backups.
Try to patch things after that.

Hi again, I posted earlier but it was either missed or there's a solution somewhere for my problem that I can't seem to find (I flicked through about 20 or so pages but no one seems to have the issue I have). I've everything up-to-date, and followed the guidance:
  • The version of BDO Toolkit that had been used: 1.3.0
  • The version of Meta Injector that had been used: 1.4.0
  • The version of Resorepless that had been used: 3.6f
  • The version of Restore N' Patch that had been used (If used): 1.2.1
  • Are you using custom files? No
  • Patching method used in Meta Injector: Keep files and folders structures
  • Client region (NA/EU/RU/KR/JP/Etc.): NA
  • Client version (As reported by Meta Injector, "Meta Version"): 697
  • What did you attempt to do: Basically the textures on the body are low resolution - can't seem to figure out what the issue is.

What texture quality are you using in game?

9 times out of 10 the game wont even launch. Restore N' Patch detects the launcher but then closes after 3 seconds and so does the launcher. Nothing executes, I have to keep trying over and over again to get the game to launch.

Create a shortcut to "Restore N' Patch", open properties on the shortcut and at the end of "Target" add a space and then "-idle" (without quotes), run Restore N' Patch through that shortcut, run the game through the game's own launcher while it's open.

I've been doing exactly that, same results. When you say run the game through its own launcher....how? I use steam. I'm usually right-clicking the steam toolbar icon and selecting Black Desert.

What would be the best way to apply the loose files inside of X:\Black Desert Online\Paz\files_to_patch while still being able to use reporeless bodyslider mods? I can only get either Resorepless created files or my custom edit files (the loose files in Files_to_Patch) to work at a time.

I apply my loose files via let program decide. And for the Bodyslider mods I would use the folder structure option (but first removing my loose files, otherwise game crashes when character select.)

To get it all working I would have to have the correct folder structure to apply my loose edited files? What would be the best way to sort threw all of them and put them in a correct folder structure? (besides manually entering folder names?) any tips?

Thanks.

Just running the game in any way should work.

You can't use two different patching methods since some files would be excluded from patching when some fail in one mode and other fail in the other, this will ALWAYS cause corruption.

All character-related textures (body, tattoos, armor, etc) are in the folder "character/texture".
Model (pac) files are a little bit more complicated, it's all under "character/model/1_pc/" but there's a separate folder for each class (some classes have two folders), and a separate folder for the type of model or piece of armor said model is related to, you can figure out both from the file name (which class folder it belongs to, and what piece of armor it belongs to) but you'll need to use a tool like paz browser to get the full folder names.
Partcutdesc goes into "character/".

I'll probably have an easier way for all that in the future.

I have the texture quality in-game set to high
I think that just might be how the bush textures are.
