Yun - Armor Set 05
(Welcome to BnS where everything is bodypaints, a perfect exempel how you can turn a full body clothing into a full body nude.)

Another exempel:

Can turn it into a slingshot bikini or a Queen's Blade version; a cloth piece hanging down :p

Please can you do a short guide saying what is needed to unpack/repack the costume files and how to find them, perhaps using an example to show how the process is done?
lol forgot to type the guide

1. Click on [Add Game] -> Client.EXE
2. Turn on [Use Global Hook]
3. Launch Blade and Soul (Do not use "Start game through uMod)
(More options will now pop up)
4. Click on "Save Single Texture" and "Show Message"
5. Umod will only grab stuff from what you are seeing on the screen
So if you want to Mod female Lyn with the tutorial Armor so must you be using a Female Lyn with that armor on.
6. switch between texture resolution before you start so the Umod can grab all the textures. (Umod works very different from each games, most common is that Umod can only grab textures when using the lowest texture resulotion.)
7. Scroll "next" until your character looks weird and save that texture, now do that until you have saved a total of 4 textures (they are bump, spec, cstm and diff)
8. Now you simply mod your dds files and save them as DDS DXT5
9. When you are done "Open Texture" and select the modded files.
10. Click on Update (Reload) to see your changes
11. Done

I've tried to make an quick tweak using Naduron's default HDv1 lyn texture just to test how it works. A bit of redrawing and a bit of rescaling (I've also considerably reduced nipples brightness since male lyns don't seem to have nipples at all). Well, it somehow worked, and it actually doesn't seem to be that hard (personally I've never ever worked with textures before).

Since I'm not likely going to polish it, I'll just leave the result here probably just in the case. Maybe someone will find it useful.

Can you make a base texture edit to replace the underwear so your character is for races other than Lyn? Like this mod?
Blade & Soul - Nude Patch

1. No i won't be doing any swithches, i hate doing it :)
2. Any other Armor/Costumes with full nude would be easy to do instead.

A screenshot would be nice so people know what it looks like :p

Sorry! Adding the screenshot now.
There's some glowing skin around panties area, it seems to come with the basic modification I've used (it's likely to be almost invisible if the skin glow setting is >0). I don't know how to fix it. But I think I was able to fix a stocking-like artifact around thighs just a bit.

Is there anyway you can keep the shoes when creating mods? The Yun models look weird standing on their tip toes for no reason without footwear. Thanks. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to the High Res Jin models.

It is damn easy compared to Tera.
Modding is far easier with Umod when you know ho to use it.
The only bad thing with Umod is that the mod can be turned off during loading.

While Tera so will they try to hide as much Polygons they can with the models, while BnS doesn't give a shit about it cause it takes to much time when they could just spend that time on makign another armor/costume, which is why they how so much costume/armor compared to Tera.
they just throw out as much armor/costume as they can,
so 80% of the armor/costumes are just painted on body skin, so yeah, you can make every armor/costume into a full nude female.

This is great news to know that modding in BnS is easier than in TERA, but I don't know how to use Umod to do it. For TERA I was using UtHelper, but as far as I can see, Umod doesn't work in the same way at all.
Could you please help me out to get started?
For example the first two costumes I would like to work on are the Ivory Bird (Jin female only) and the Profane Shroud (also for Jin though other races can use).
How to I use Umod to get the dds files for these so I can work on them?
And once I made some changes, how to I use Umod to put them into the game for me?
Thanks

P.S. I've just noticed Naduron has made a guide for this in a different section of the modding forum, which answers many of my questions already (however so far I can't get it to work).

I get to Point 3 where I launch BnS (normally, not through Umod), but there are no new options pop up after the game starts.
I follow the rest of the points but nothing happens, I assume because Umod hasn't recognised that I have BnS running, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong?

If you are running the NA/EU versions, make sure you right click Umod and "Run as Admin". Do the same for the game client as well just to be safe. With the russian PlayBnS version, you need to add client.bin instead of client.exe.

Thanks for this, I should of thought of it myself but just got in a panic because nothing seemed to work.
I've been able to capture my first costume using v1.44 and did a test mod which works fine, but the results are not pleasing in the game because of needing to run the game at the lowest texture setting which means everything in the game including the mod looks a bit crap.
I'm now looking at Umod v2, but as Naduron already said, this version likes to crash the game, and so far I just got game crashes after a short time, not working for long enough for me to capture the higher res costume and save it.
But if I get anywhere with this, and can get more pleasing results, I'll make a thread and post what I've done.

No it isn't weird. It's good. Phoenixes float. If you like shoes get a porn mag.

Edit: And stop playing games.

Leave the shoes gone. I hope it is like the shaking breasts nude mod from bnslamp and tweaker (both are discontinued).
The latter is the sept. one that was outdated last week sigh.

Maybe switches are boring so direct slap ons are better. I am counting on you for cn/tw/us clients.
