At the moment, they only make videos for 3 reasons:

1) Free videos available in Douyin for awareness and promotion purpose
2) Custom videos
3) G&G initiated group funding video. On top of the normal fee, participants need to pay a deposit which will be refunded after 3 months if the video was not leaked. Each copy was individually marked so they can trace who gives out the video.

They used to have a pay channel at Bilibili, but the account was suspended by Bilibili. Some videos at Douyin are originally for the pay channel so quality is of high quality, such as the one posted yesterday.

I think it's more about copyright. The truth is, some Chinese people buy videos from producers and resell them at a lower price to make money. This makes it difficult for the original producers to profit from selling their videos, and it's also hard to register a legal copyright for such content. I believe the only way to solve this issue is to focus on private order from individual customer, so each customer pays for their own script, and producers can apply an extra charge to discourage each customer from reselling the content,1 to 1 order is much better in my opinion and this is what the pool should looks like, if you sell to many ppl at once it's hard for you to prevent any one of them to sell your video to order.

I really don't understand what you try to say. Of course many US/EU 18+ contents are illegal in China because of different standards, but they are not making anything close to US/EU 18+ contents. So, what law they break?

If you really want to go technical, then any movie for public distribution in China need to get approval, which is the same in probably all countries including the US/EU. These are NOT movies, just short videos so it is outside such regulation and again, probably the same in other countries, otherwise most videos in YT are illegal. As long as you don't cross the lines like nudity, underaged actors/actress, extreme violence, sensitive political issues etc, then it is not against the law.

I don't know if its illegal, which is why it was formulated as a question. I know the production and distribution of pornography is illegal in China, but I don't know what counts as that, and I've heard rumors that some of the people who made stuff before are in jail. Can I confirm them? Nah dawg I can't, how the hell could I even do that; but the idea that it's illegal to make fetishy things like this isn't totally off base, as this is actually consumed by its audience as pornographic material.

But I also know enforcement is sporadic at best and completely random at worst. The amount of Chinese porn out there tells me that whatever laws are against it aren't enforced all that strongly. But it does mean that people have to operate more clandestine, especially since I thiiiink there's things about distribution to other countries? But again, I don't know shit dawg, that's why I asked
