no he clearly contacted Mineur cause he has a strong preference. He wants mineur to do it. Out of all the other artists out there, he contacted Mineur first.
it seems so painfully obviously that if Mineur doesn't want to do it, Vancexentan would have to find a different artist. just simple basic logic. No one goes "Oh this restaurant is closed? I guess I can't eat tonight cause god forbid, having a second choice would be so barbaric. Guess I'll just starve tonight."

if you truly believe that there shouldn't be any form of ranking system between artists, please for god sake get rid of "number of downloads" and "likes received" as these are indirectly indicating popularity. (thus indicating this sites "first choice artist" and "second choice artists")
