It does disable the HUD, but it does not disable the screen darkening as far as I could ever find.MK9Hook has a disable HUD feature, the screen darkening can also be disabled with it but I think it depends on game version.
The reshade works perfectly though, and even better that I can bind it to simple key presses and it has been everything I've ever wanted. It is wonderful! Thank you again, Herai! Now it is easy to make nice, cinematic fights to record. Well I would say cinematic if if I wasn't garbage at the game and got my ass beat constantly by anything above easy.
Now I'm trawling my way through the files with the unpacker to try and find if there is a simple way for the computer to always do fatalities if they win. I suspect it is some sort of timed script given that they have a high chance of doing them on the first fight or second fight, but if they perform them (or if things glitch out and they just stand still) then it could be roughly 10-15 more fights before they do them again. Might as well restart the game after that. Unfortunately I suspect there might be some hex code that needs to change for it as I can't find any variables to change in any related-looking files in the unpacker. There was something promising looking in "startup.xxx" but it didn't look like I could change anything.
