Ah, I didn't know that, thanks for the heads up. I did take a quick look at the files, they look more or less identical with the ones in the folder and the ones in the US pack though, not sure if that's of any help. Anyhow, kudos to you guys for working on the Sentinel and debugging her. Hope you guys will be able to find a way to fix the problems while retaining the anatomical details.

Alright, started modding as well. My aim is different from the full nude mods that are going around: I'm trying to sexualize the game, but keep every armor essentially the way it was designed in the original game.

Currently have the first SW armor modded to have more of a nipslip: SW_BD_N_00_NR Kopie.jpg

And, where every other modder decided to remove the default underwear completely, I kept it intact and simply let the Arkanas decide that "the twins need to breathe", which fits the fact that the model has 3D nipples: View attachment 9465

Fun fact: I managed to add an actual bump map to the sentinel armor.

Not sure whether to post this... I mean we have enough people starting their own Scarlet Blade mod threads currently, would there be interest in this?

Ah, great job! And you beat me to it. I am actually planning on doing 1 for the Medic myself for anyone who actually likes the default underwear, lol.

Just a Heads-Up for you guys. I compared the US and KR texture folder and wrote down every missing Sentinel body texture in the KR tex.gfpk. Afterwards I looked at every goddamn texture with a gibberish filename and put the obvious Sentinel ones (small breasts, skin color) into an extra folder. For every missing Korean Version Texture I found a corresponding within my Obvious-Sentinel-But-Gibberish-Filename folder, only two Specular-Maps had to be improvised ;-)
But the Textures are worthless without a proper channel fix for conversion between KR and US. I painted many maps to track down the little buggers. Even though everybody expected the error in another Channel, i can now tell you for sure, the censored sentinel shader abuses the BLUE channel of the Normal-Map and the RED channel of the Specular-Map. I even found out in what way to find a minimal destructive fix for the problem. If you wanna know more, just ask, won't keep that an secret.

The result of my research, a truly full Sentinel DeCensor, is now availiable at my Thread, as o5119 linked above my post here.

If ShadowX2X's decensor works properly and can be uploaded again, it'll save me some work, though I am a little disappointed that I won't be able to show off what I've managed so far... although I couldn't have done it without the help of Sevyria, Trumpdog, and Darkxd87.

Although, if I may, your self-congratulation is not entirely warranted. Although you appear to have accomplished more than anyone else actually has... it's been understood for a long time that the Blue channel of the Normal Maps was causing problems. Indeed, what I and Sevyria have been doing with our own efforts is stripping out the Blue Channel of the Normal maps while preserving the other channels, in an effort to fix the flashing issue with less destruction than Naduron's decensor entailed.

I'm not sure if you came across it independently, but as far as I've been able to trace it back, Trumpdog was the first who properly realized that it was specifically the Blue channel that was causing problems for the Normal maps, though someone may have discovered it even before him.

I'm worried that removing the blue channel for those later down the road may cause less than satisfactory results.

Edit: Also Nezumi, could you possibly PM me a screenshot of the issue with the spine on the bunny tux outfit? I'm curious to see what it is.

A number of the underwears also have a significant amount of information in the blue channel, but the US versions of those normal maps just strip it out to use the blue channel for the glow effects, so we're not going to be losing anything compared to what's already lost just from this censorship scheme.

Oh that's probably a small error in the normal map. The back is where the seams are on the model and normal map seams can cause artifacting sometimes. A little bit of editing can probably fix it.


I believe it also may be possible to re-process the normal maps and distribute the blue channel information to the red and green channels, so it may be possible to retain that detail.

I verified that the problem occurs even with the default International textures, so I sent a bug report to Aeria.

I don't have the costume to test with, but one way to troubleshoot it would be to make a blank green NR map and a black SP map and try it first with just the plain texture. Then import the detailed normal map over the blank one while still using the black SP map. That would at least pinpoint which map is causing the problem. Even if Aeria fixes the NA version, we'll still have the issue to deal with for the KR version lol.

Nice mod, yeah you should start you own thread on this. I am sure a lot of people would love to have these. The medic ones are really nice too, it's like an alternate version of mine for people who prefers the nipples remaining the way they are. XD

Alright. Now if anyone would be so kind as to identify how these modded armors are called... I basically just ran around the first outpost looking at people's characters in order to look for armors to mod

I just label them by using their equipable level, like Level 5 Armor, Level 15 Armor, Level 25 Armor and so forth. I think that will be a lot easier for everyone.
