I've not found any way to view or edit these files. All I've been able to do is remove models (i.e. "zero" them out) or swap one model for another. Model-swapping involves messy hex editing, and is beyond the scope of this tutorial.

Models can be swapped fairly easily. Textures can also be swapped, but a great many textures are shared between multiple costume pieces, so if you swap the texture on one, you swap it on all of them. For very common outfits like the default free ones, this may result in swapping a great many outfit pieces due to shared textures. Could you please describe the process?
Should i grab the model i want and change it's name, placing it into apropriate folder, so the game grab it instead of original, or it takes more then that to swap?
Aslo - do the models contain texture infromation, or i should manually rename textures / modyfy paths and moving them to the folders?

I'm afraid the recent Arc-promotion Khan top will not work well, since it also requires the chest geometry beneath it, and it is not feasible to tell the game to include the extra geometry along with the shirt itself. You can only swap the open-chest Khan top to/from another uniform that also shows chest geometry beneath it.

Well is it possible to swap "Shirt simple" to naked top model, like it is done with high polly skirt replacement?

For some reason, the promo-Kahn shirt doesn't load the chest geometry for my character. And I know its not as though a file is missing or something because it displays fine on everyone else) it just won't work on an of my own characters(so i doubt it is due to this mod. Anyone else had this problem?

I have discovered something else about this issue that may help track it down. Right now on my Fed character I have noticed that with the setting to make Reman topless, the female ones I am seeing on my fleet Dil Mine all have invisible nude model chests also.

Hey can we also change at least one costume into lingerie, and can we change the "action commands" into more, sex related actions? a realy good idea also is to make the boobs and vigina more real by taking real photos and extrapolating them on top of a player model? also a better thing to do is to make an all nude mode so all npc's and players are naked.

An issue with lingerie is that the vast majority of costumes do not support alpha channel transparency, which is a feature I find very important for texturing undergarments.

Sadly, a deal-breaking issue with "action commands" is that they are nearly all retrieved from the server and not stored locally, and this cannot be modified by the client.

Finally, I am not a particularly skilled texture artist, and I did not actually make any of the current skin textures -- you have the original author from the old GVZ forums, meehee, and Spanner from the LoversLab forums to thank for them. However, as stated earlier, when I have the time I am going to be updating the modding tutorial in the second post of this thread with detailed instructions on how to get your own textures into STO, since the method has since changed. Thus anyone interested can then make their own skin textures and see how they look. Although unfortunately, the 3D model still cannot be altered, as it is in an inscrutable format. :(

What about if you take the file for salkings on the legs, modify it, and make it into a file for a texture of a costume?
Man its like they tried to block nudity all together. :(
Also I have a star trek enthudiest sister who is bout 2 years older, (23) and has seen this mod and wants me to tell you guys to try to add a dick or nude guy add on. She says and quote "I'd like to see a admiral walking drunk down starbase and have nothing on at times"

is there any way to use the neural tonic seductive dance by boffs?

i know it's possible to replace some of the dances with it, but since i don't think it's possible to manually make the boffs dance, only way would be to replace their stances, but i don't see that option anywhere.

You cannot replace a stance only for boffs, any character who uses that stance would be have it replaced as well. Although that is possible, it would result in rather a lot of random dancing.

I have a problem... on my female bridge officer on my romulan char. when i add the Romulan Federation 1 or 2 and the Romulan Republic 1 her torso goes invisible. I own the things and it just recently started doing it (like 5 mins ago). There is about a 1 in 5 chance of it working (showing nude torso) but then the shop sayes i need to purchase somthing for 550 zen. wth?

Hm, sounds like the elusive problem reported earlier by Rangermanlv. I'm not certain what's causing it, but it seems likely some component of CostumeGeometry mods is to blame.
