Reinstalling the game to my documents instead of program files(x86) fixed my errors and everything works great.
Just dont do what i did and forget to create a black desert online folder to install the game in=D

This fixed ALL my issues - Thank you! :D

Goodness this is all so confusing. I can't even hook the game's executable. It won't let me. Keeps saying error and nonsense about a dx11proxy64.dll.

However I do have my game in programfiles(x86) is that a problem?

Installing it to somewhere on your C drive rather then program files will solve a number of the issues but if you don't want to reinstall you can get around the errors. It's just a bit of a hassle.

The error that you're getting is most likely due to either needing to remove and reinstall java or due to windows being paranoid. Do you use windows 10?

Cerephono mod doesn't provide nude texture, it only allow you to go into a nude state. For the nude texture, you'd need to use texture from mods such as Joku mods.

think this is now patched on na/eu - after todays update the pop up saying a file is missing or corrupt comes up as normal but once I press enter or click OK the game closes, game wont launch without pad1 being in paz folder.

Hello everyone, I had a few questions about using Resorp tool to edit textures in Black Desert. If someone could help me I would be so grateful! <3

  1. Is it safe to mod textures? Has anyone had or heard of any issue like getting banned or anything? Is there a risk xigncode will lock your account if Resorep is detected?
  2. Can I update/patch my game without any extra steps or concerns, or will Patches and game updates mess up the texture mods you have done? Will they have to be redone every time? Will Resorep need updates every time there is a game update?
  3. Is there a way to organize modded textures I have made? How can I keep track of which textures I have modded?
  4. Are there any guides on actually making the modded textures (I see a few on installing other peoples mods)? The part for modders on first post is a bit vague.
  5. What does this mean and what is it for? "You may add arbitrary text to file name by placing ~ after number in file name and placing text after ~. E.g. "123456789~Example text.dds"
  6. On the first post it is mentioned you can use GIMP 2 to edit the DDS files, can more details be shared on specifics? DDS files have a LOT of settings to choose from when saving, can anyone share (screenshot maybe?) which settings work best in BDO. I am using Photoshop CC with DDS plugin.
  7. How do you find the textures you want to edit? I can only imagine the sea of textures this game has in its data file, how can I find the ones I want to edit?
  8. Can the other maps(Normal, Specular, Defuse ect) be edited also? This is especially important when editing face textures.
  9. Is this the only forum for the BDO modding community? I found this place randomly with a google search, I find it strange this is the BDO Modding home as it does not even have a BDO sub forum.
  10. Any other tips or advice for getting started on the MMO Modding scene. ;3
Sorry if any of my questions seem silly ^^;

A bit more about me: I have been modding Skyrim for about a year now. I am a Digital artist and hope to bring some high quality texture edits to the community.
My interests are mostly in: Improving low res textures and bad/mismatch(I'm looking at you white faced Witch!) textures of Face, eyes and Body on playable characters, Improving textures of many in game armors that are currently low res, improving animal textures such as Horses and Pets. Overall balancing of textures that are oddly bad quality compared to others in the game.

Looking forward to being a part of the community here. ~(=^‥^)ノ♥

its broken at least mine is. patched my game as usual being sure to re-ad paz file then tried to start it and it just closes out after I try to hold enter for the error messages. Don't know if they broke it on purpose or unintended. Resorep works fine but without access to character file the base body skins don't work. me thinks kitty ears is fishing...

^Same thing for me, the nude mod is kinda working... theyre all wearing full clothes, but my Tamer who has the angel outfit still has it being see through atleast and no panties on. So that hasnt changed.
But everyone in the game is wearing clothes again after the patch.
Guess its hard to maintain it lol

So can you or someone share with us if there is anything to be done to fix our games? Yours maybe working fine but at least mine is not. I had to stop using current patches because all of the characters were running around with missing limbs. so any help or suggetions at all would be awesome from anyone thanks.

Is there some procedure for when a patch drops? Something that Viconia did or did not do that spared there mods?

I picked a perfect time to join this forum I see lol

I guess I will hold off trying this for now.

Rename your modded folder to something else "modded_old" will work. Then download the attached file. Extract and put in your resorep folder.
Keep PAD00001 in the Paz folder.

Attached is PrincessNicky's base body mod, and the transparent Kibelius mod she made. You can also use other nude mods. However none of the armor mods will work now save for the Kibelius because it has its own body textures attached.

For now this is the only mods we have.

The risk is always there. But no one has been banned yet.

No extra steps or concerns. But if the texture is updated in game files, you will have to find out its new name and rename your modded texture accordingly.
Is there a way to organize modded textures I have made? How can I keep track of which textures I have modded?
That is exactly what the text after ~ is supposed to do. You may name your modded textures like "123456789~Elf face - normal.dds" or whatever naming system you chose. Just keep the original number at the beginning
Are there any guides on actually making the modded textures (I see a few on installing other peoples mods)? The part for modders on first post is a bit vague.
Please tell what exactly needs to be clarified.
What does this mean and what is it for? "You may add arbitrary text to file name by placing ~ after number in file name and placing text after ~. E.g. "123456789~Example text.dds"
See above.
You must keep an original compression when saving modded texture (same compression as original texture - DXT1 or DXT5). And you must enable mipmap generation. All other settings are default.
How do you find the textures you want to edit? I can only imagine the sea of textures this game has in its data file, how can I find the ones I want to edit?
It's described in the "For modders" section in the first post. Disable texture saving, go ingame, set up the ingame things that way that the texture will be loaded for the first time, enable texture saving, do ingame actions to load the texture, disable texture saving. Search among a bunch of saved textures. Most likely you will find the required texture there. I know it's pain in ass but unfortunately have no time to fix that now, sorry.
Can the other maps(Normal, Specular, Defuse ect) be edited also? This is especially important when editing face textures.
Sure thing, I've seen all these types of textures in captured textures. Only UI textures can't be modded since they are using uncompressed DDS format.
Is this the only forum for the BDO modding community? I found this place randomly with a google search, I find it strange this is the BDO Modding home as it does not even have a BDO sub forum.
No idea. There could be other BDO modders' lairs out there.
Any other tips or advice for getting started on the MMO Modding scene. ;3
Please keep in mind that unlike Skyrim this game has no official modding support. So all your mods may just stop working after some game update.

I didn't remove or mess with the PAD00001 file and only use Joku mod. Maybe messing with the Paz file causes your game to break the nude mod.
