Hey again shadow :D Thanks for the quick reply!

I am bit lost at this part "Point the File Dialog to the tex Folder, the one where you have to put all the *.dds files provided here and by other modders. Select the tex.gfpk. Press Open."

I am not trying to change your mod or any other persons. I am doing it from scratch so I am not sure why I would open your .dds files.

I am thinking I unpack this file: "WH.gfpk"
Located at Local C:>AeriaGames>ScarletBlade>Data>objects>PC>WH

What I got was A folder named "WH" and multiple .mesh and .dat files
Is that what I want?

(I am looking for the Tainted Love costume file(s), mesh(s). Whatever I need to edit the color of it)

P.S Wacom's are the way to go. Good to see another person using their products. The product can get a bit expensive but well worth it. I tend to ware out the tip for the bamboo very quickly. Normally I need to replaced every 8-10 hours of drawing or it starts skipping and erratic lines. Do you find the tips wear out quickly as well or is it just me?

8-10 Hours? DAMN! I believe you push too hard ;-)

Don't have too many artists around me and personally don't use it as often as I should, but even under heavy use it took me 2 weeks once, maaany more hours. I've got only one tip: Tweak your drivers, increase the sensitivity of the tablet. And always remind yourself to spin the pen now and then, for a even abrasion of the pen, the goal is to always keep the tip as round as possible ;-)
Different Brush Settings within Photoshop might help too.

For the color you need to edit the texture, that's why I suggested to extract the tex.gfpk. I only mentioned my *.dds files, because you'll find the correct *.gfpk in the folder where you extracted my textures, if you'd have installed my mod. This one: \Data\Objects\PC\tex

Of all those textures in there I can't tell you which one is tainted love. But I'd search only the _BD_ files with a _CS_ for Cash-Shop, for the specific Character Class you'd like to mod.

So your suggestion is I download the sentinel de-censor pack and exact "tex.gfpk" file from your de-censor correct?

Just want to make sure I have your instructions down correctly.

I would then sift through all files relating with "CS" in the name and open them in Photoshop one at a time kind of deal?

We are getting there.

You really do NOT (!) have to download any of my files. Even though you could and I would suggest it, if you want to tweak the Sentinel.
I just thought you already did, and thus tried to give you a pointer where you find the correct tex.gfpk file within your Scarlet Blade Game-Folder.

Just follow my QuickBMS instructions from post #223.

Let me re articulate this one sentence:
"Point the File Dialog to the tex Folder, the one where you have to put all the *.dds files provided here and by other modders. Select the tex.gfpk. Press Open."
...
"Point the File Dialog to the tex Folder at \Data\Objects\PC\tex. Select the tex.gfpk. Press Open."

Edit: And don't go through all CS files ;-). The _BD_CS_ files should be enough to mod some costume color. BD stands for "Body" or at least it includes all body parts without feet, face, hair, hands. PT aswell, but in there are all the underwear body textures. Some modder over here suggested to remember it as "Panties", and it fits quite well!

Thanks again for the help, I also installed your sentinel de-censor works very well ^__^

I unpacked that "tex.gfpk" found my CS costume I wanted to edit. I edited it :P

And now I want to implement it. Would I need to repackage all the files back into "tex.gfpk" or what do I need to do?

I was thinking this route "C:\AeriaGames\ScarletBlade\Data\Objects\PC\tex" but nothing changed :/

Also I was noticing there is NUMEROUS mech texture files. Is it possible to swap them around? So e.g replace one Athena texture file and replace it with another? So you can change the color of the mech?

Yeah, just put your edited *.dds file back into the C:\AeriaGames\ScarletBlade\Data\Objects\PC\tex folder and you are good to go. You see, just the same way I provide my mods.

Make sure you export your files as DXT1, 4bpp, RGB. You can experiment with different *.dds export formats after you got it to work the first time.

Of course you can swap around textures. But always look for the layout of the texture, whether the body or other parts are at the same place in both textures. If they aren't, you'd need to replace mesh files (e.g. via the *.xml files within the class specific *.gfpk files or wherever those mech files can be found...). You are on your own!

Haha thanks for the help again. I was thinking maybe it had to do something with how I was saving the files but I was not sure. ( I was however saving them correctly.)

Do all the textures have negatives, due to I was only able to find one? I covered up the hearts on the "Tainted love teddy" and the hearts appear still however they seem less bright. I did some further testing to see what is going on and I changed the color of the chest piece. The chest piece changed colors so it seems like it is saved correctly and placed correctly. But the hearts still appear on the legs. So I was thinking maybe there is a second file or some kind of glow file that adds some luminous color to the armor.

I did some further testing and it definitely appears that there is some kind of a glow effect that is applied on of the texture. Do you have any idea where that file might be? I noticed that WH CS skips from 23 to 27 not sure if they are just not used or what. I extracted the file over and over and they never appear.

Search for the files with the same name, but a _NR or _SP suffix.
_NR = Normal Map = Normal mapping - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
_SP = Specular Map = https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/File:Specvsexponentinphong2os.jpg
The _SP map is reason for glow effects. If you draw over the heart in this map it might solve your problem.

It's a problem with QuickBMS or the extract Script. No Solution for it yet -.-
You may be able to find the missing WH files within the 00000XXXX.dds files, the "unnamed" ones after you extracted your *.gfpk. It's tedious to locate them, rename them and move them into their correct folder, e.g. it had to be done for the Sentinel De-Censor...

I Did notice there is another Tainted love teddy file but I was only able to find it for defender.

"DE_BD_CS_25_A.dds" I was never able to find it for whipper so do you think that could be the issuse? I dont see any SP ones. Could it be possible that either of these two files could be an issue? "WH_BD_CS_04.mesh" or "WH_BD_CS_04.amo"?

Also the mech replace works :D I have a black mech now. Looks epic as hell :P

I am going to do some more customization after I figure this issue out. Custom highlights maybe and designs >0<~~~! Sooo stoked about working on it :D

Often the problem of not being able to find a texture for a specific character class is caused by developers sharing the same textures for meshes of different classes. Sometimes they are really difficult to locate.

It's only a real problem if you only want to mod a single class, because your mod will be applied to all of them.

Reason for what? Some glow? No. The *.mesh is just a mesh of polygons, the shape of the object and has nothing to do with color and glow. Only indirectly, because meshes load material files which load textures and define some parameters for the behavior of the surface under lighting conditions and more.

That's great, glad I can be of help! And I am happy to answer some basic mod & art related questions. Just spare me the reverse engineering or assembler level debugging details if you are eager to fix the QuickBMS script yourself later ;-)

At first, they are not only inverted.
Second, try it and you'll see. It will work, in a sense of "the game loads and applies the texture", but not in a sense of "it looks like it should". The UV layout of both textures could differ.
Third, _A would be the wrong suffix, I believe - _SP or _NR or no suffix at all :-)

Hrm well I guess if you have no idea to remove these hearts I am screwed D:

Been going through the entire client files opening each one at a time with no luck aside from the defender file. I even went through all the mech, vehicle and pets just to make sure they were not wrongly located :/

There is no manageably feasible way to make textures invisible in Scarlet Blade. My simple but different solution would be: If you replace an armor, just make sure to replace feet and hands with the proper ones of the costume aswell.
And I don't know what glitches you are talking about (without screenshots), so I can't help you with what you are trying to achieve.

I talked about that kind of glitches:

I need to make the feet dissapear cause ever Costume has its own hands and feets. So when u replace them with the armory (lvl25 for example) u will have that kind of glitches with your boots or in that case (see picture) with default boots.

Ah, I see. Always worked with costumes, didn't know that there are armors which are full body suits with integrated hands and feet. Very inconsistent behaviour by the developers...
That's a problem, because every solution I could think of would destroy something else. And think about it: If you'd find a way to make the hand & feet textures or meshes invisible, they'd be invisible in every other costume using them, too.
One possibility would be to extract the armors *.mesh file and delete hands and feet within a 3D modeller tool. But maybe that isn't worth it. If you want to dig into it, somewhere, in one of the [POST]s I reference in my links & recommendation section there is the entry point to Scarlet Blade *.mesh modding. I wouldn't recommend it though.

I want a decensor patch, not a nude patch for the Sentinel. Sorry if my request sounds a bit weird.

BTW, does anyone have a screenshot of what the unsealed Sentinel looks like in the Korean version? I tried a lot of google searches, couldn't find anything...

My De-Censor is what you are looking for. She will look exactly like in the korean version, all her outfits with one exception:

Only one outift got a minor flaw, the one you talked about, the unsealer. You will miss out on, let's call them "HD" nipples. The nipples will look a little bit washed out with my pure texture based mod.
