I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I wasn't able to break Sister when she had her cuffs on (I tested this for her obedient path), but when I took them off and fucked her she was able to be broken

Hmmm, I don't think that would matter. The cuffs only control the pose. The lines spoken for each pose (cuffed or un-cuffed) are the same, so that shouldn't affect if she breaks or not. Let me know if it happens again (with your repro steps) or if anyone else sees the same problem. Thanks so much for the info (and the quick testing, ha!)

No problem, Ellie still refers to the shemale as a toy. So there's still that dialog bug. and I am yet to test for issues with Ashley and Plexia

I'm sad to say, but I think this may be the final release of Slave Bazaar. I think I'm done with SDT modding. This release has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Working on SDT is a frustrating process. In the year and a half since my last release, I did lose out on maybe eight months of development time due to my real life work crunch , but there was still many months of "hobby-time" development put into this project. My life is busy with friends, family, and work, and development time on Slave Bazaar is something I obviously can't share with family and friends. Since I can't say that I'm working on this, all the hours put into it seem like laziness to those close to me when I'm not getting other important things done. And the hours do add up. It's a side job that I get no credit or pay for.

I do Slave Bazaar for the community here. I felt I was providing a type of adult experience you couldn't find elsewhere. But I'm still bound by an engine that was built in Flash by a developer who has either moved on or passed away. People like sby sby and Pim_gd Pim_gd have done amazing work to keep it alive, but still I'm bound by underlying problems I can't fix, like button response time or triggers that inexplicably cease to fire.

In the end, I felt like I supplied a massive amount of new features and reactivity, and yet I get one review of four out of five stars due to a broken feature that was never part of Slave Bazaar in the first place. I'm tired. I'm insulted. I'm done.

Thank you everyone who supported me and encouraged me. I do feel bad it took so long to get this version out. All of the source code for my Flash mod that goes with Slave Bazaar is included in the bundle. If anyone wants to take up the mantle and add to, fix, or modify my bundle, you have my permission to do so. Just credit me for my work and yourself for any changes you make.

Happy gaming to you all!

For what it's worth, I would like to formally apologize for my poor review. Due to lack of reading and foresight on my part, I was not aware of the fact that auto feature was never intended to be part of the mod. It was not my intention to insult your work and it fills me with guilt that you feel that way. I do not ask for forgiveness but only ask that you understand that I meant not malice nor spite. I do not enjoy being a negative factor for why you're moving on but as a fan, I do wish you the best going forward.

Please don't give up! You are literally the best modder for STD on this site, and I've seen a lot of good work here for the time I've been here. If there was a paytreon for this project, i'd donate some cash to keep the progress going strong. I can understand things being time consuming and not having enough hours in the day, but don't let that be a reason to just give up! You are awesome!

If you really must go, at the very least pass on the torch to another developer, one that you trust and will do this game well, because Slave Bazaar has so much potential left in it, Sister seemed like she was only the beginning of things to come (no pun intended).

I'd like to say few things hopefully it's not going to be a huge mess. First of all your slave bazaar was the first adult game I've ever played and at the time I didn't know how utterly alone it was at the peak. I thought there will be plenty of other similar or even better games on this site (and other sites) but as the time went on I couldn't find aynthing in SDT that comes even close to it and to my surprise not even rpgm/renpy/unity games were close and I went through quite a few of them. The ammount of work you've put into this project with that underdeveloped broken engine is insane. There are other engines (like unity) way more friendly to the developer that could've been used and it might've saved you a lot of frustration but the game might've been different. And it's awesome all features it offers (fetishes states ect) are brilliant and you'll be hard pressed to find them in another game at such a level of quality. Dialogues are perfect for each character and it's fun to replay the game. Which is weird for an adult game at least for me. But the thing I don't get at all is that you did all of that for free for a community of not always friendly and not always grateful leechers like me (altough I hope that from this post you can tell that I am grateful! :)). And for that I am always going to respect you as a person and as a developer/modder.

I am guessing that it wasn't a spontaneous decision to stop and the review might have been just the last straw but it happens. And in all honesty I am glad that you picked the real life over supplying porn addicts with their dose of quality adult game content. From those few messages we've exchanged you seemed like an approachable person willing to help and talk even with a random guy who enjoys playing your game and I am glad I was able to "meet" you and your project.

Stay safe strong keep up the great work you did on this project and just focus it into something you like to or need to do. And well I am 100% sure there will be at least few people who'll be more than happy if you just stay here on the forum or just occasionally check on things and see how the site is doing.

Even though I've only been here for a short while, I downloaded the game and I must say what quality! Shame about this being the final release. But I know from most people that motivation takes time to get. All the best for any of your future endeavours.

It's okay. I knew you didn't mean any malice or spite. That was kind of the point. If I felt you did mean malice, then I could have easily ignored you. But instead, you lead off with "I'm a big fan of this mod ", which means you are one of the reasons I make Slave Bazaar. I've been in game development, and it's a trigger for me when player's judge work off of what is wrong instead of what is right. In the industry, players do this all the time to our own detriment. It matters more what bad things are put in, no matter how few or small they may be, and not how much good stuff gets put in. It seems only Bethesda can get away with the "give the players everything we can and they will forgive us for the bugs and flaws". Other developers shy away from taking risks or putting in more features and content, and just try to polish up what is known to be enjoyed. Personally I'd rather have twice the game with a bunch of flaws than half the game that is rock solid, but then again, I love Bethesda games :).

To me four stars means a "B" grade. Four stars means "If I were to rank all of the mods on the site, over 1/5 of them would be ranked higher than this one with four stars". Four stars means "It's pretty good, but not excellent". So to have you give me four stars because of a feature that is pretty much out of my control (i.e. Auto Play interaction with Animtools), it was a triggering kick in the teeth when I'm at my most fatigued.

I'd like to say ... and see how the site is doing.
Thank you, man! That was very well written, and lifted my spirits. I really appreciate it.

I don't know. Maybe I'll come back someday and try to at least polish up what's there, fix the bugs and get the other slaves up to "sister" quality. It'll probably nag at me that the product is still in alpha state. But for now I think I need a few weeks break away from it.

Take care and enjoy!

Well then it did what it was supposed to do as well as giving my 2 cents into the discussion. To be honest I hate almost every single current game developer (well I don't really hate the developer do I...I hate the publisher really there are no studios left just those who are behind them) because the only thing that matters to them is profit people who work for them are just digits easily replaceable...where Bethesda went with fallout mostly killed my interest in anything they are going to create from now on Ubisoft went full retard with mtx in single player games and I am not even going to comment on EA and Activision. CD projekt red is my only hope on the other hand if even they fall I might loose all interest in gaming and that might give me quite some time which would be nice school/training is already draining most of it :). Problem is that they are trying to appeal to people who don't play games but are the loudest on twitter/other social media. What divinity original sin did was something new and it paid off in a huge way there are ways to try new things right and well there are atrocities created because someone thought it might be a great idea most of the time someone who has absolutely no experience with games. Two different problems greedy publishers and stupid people and you have to navigate through that as a developer. It's extremely hard I know that.

Ah........ geez....... WeeWillie, I REALLY hope you just at least check in every now and then to see how things are going at least. As you well know, your mod is my favorite one on this site, and the reason I have stuck around for so long. The depth and creativity that you have added to this game is HUGE, and I, for one, appreciate it completely! I logged in, gave my initial review of the sister, and come here to see that you are leaving. :( It was kind of a gut-punch because I enjoy your work so much. Not just the Slave Bazaar, but the rest of the dialogues you have in your loader. Every one of them is creative, and enticing. I'm at work, and a customer just arrived. Will add more of my thoughts asap.

I was so happy to have your news for a while and finally, there was a new version on your mod. I just installed it and have not tested it yet. I wanted to look at a little opinion/comment before and I am happy and unhappy at the same time because I feel it is time to tell you goodbye... Thank you for created the best mod (in my opinion) on SDT I have been since 2014 and thank you again for this fabulous mod.
Take news from time to time. You are the best, but if you need to rest and leave we understand.
Just Thank you for these years of dev. If u want speak we'll be there !

Anyway, yeah. I love Bethesda, Bioware, and Bungie games as well. I guess, since I am older, and still remember Space Invaders, Asteroids, and Pac Man when they FIRST came out in arcades, and then later, on the first Atari consoles, I am much more lenient in how I view games. I mean, I LOVE Fallout 76, Anthem, and Destiny, and play them all the time when I'm not at work. I can see past a few bugs in scripting, and appreciate the creativity, and content that games have. With all the hate and toxicity that many of the younger gamers, or professional gamers have for some of the newer releases, it blows my mind how or why they think this way, and react the way they do. Hell... three days after release, they blow through what takes me at LEAST a couple of weeks to get through because they play 12-16 or more hours a day, and then they bitch and complain about the game lacking content. It seriously blows my mind how things have changed in the gaming industry over the years. If FO76, or Anthem came out 6-7 years ago, they would have been considered earth-shattering. Now it's like..... "What... No Battle Royale? Meh, whatever... this game is trash."

You have taken an ancient, by todays gaming standards toolset, and made it interesting, and thrown your own unique spin on it. Your stories bring each character you create alive, with their own very interesting personalities. They react differently to the same situation, than the other characters might, and that creates a connection to each of them. That is a lot to be said for this game. When I compare your mods, and some of the other modders content to the base game, it is a night and day difference. Not that the base game is horrible. I mean, it did hook me from the start because of the level of interactivity compared to the other games that were out when it first released, but you made that hook sink in, and stay in.

I am in no way saying that other content creators on this site are bad. There are a few others that I wish would release more dialogues and content. And I do look at many of the new ones coming out, and am surprised at how well some people do with this game. It's just that yours are my favorite mods, and the reason why I at least check this site once a morning EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. except Sunday (lol). If I hadn't gotten hooked by Slave Bazaar, I might check in once a month or so, if even that often.

I totally understand that you have work, and life constraints. That is COMPLETELY understandable. I am patient for your releases, even though, sometimes my eagerness gets the best of me, LOL. I am just happy when you do have the time, and willpower to do what you do with this game. I really hope you will at least consider not abandoning us completely. I've gone on long enough, and hope you get the gist of my lengthy post.

In the end, I felt like I supplied a massive amount of new features and reactivity, and yet I get one review of four out of five stars due to a broken feature that was never part of Slave Bazaar in the first place. I'm tired. I'm insulted. I'm done.

I thought I should share a couple of thoughts.

Since standard behaviour is to rate a resource 5/5 or not rate it at all I tend to do the same since I feel like I'm downvoting someone when I give them the very good rating of 4/5. That's kind of crazy in and of itself. I suspect a lot of people feel the same. For that reason I've found that the number of likes and reviews are a much better indicator of quality than average rating. SB currently has 52 130 downloads, 36 likes and has been given 182 ratings....

SB is the number 1 ranked resource on the site and people love it. You shouldn't be disheartened because some people think 4/5 is a very good grade and withhold the 5 because of a few bugs. I also guarantee you that you've gotten a couple of 1/5:s from people who never managed to start it in the first place.

Even though my own bundle is incomparably smaller in scope it took A LOT of work and gave me an even greater appreciation of the monumental effort SB is, so I'm certainly not going to tell you to get back to it. I would just like for you to consider that your announcement that you were close to finished with a new update generated more attention and buzz than most modders will ever get for their entire catalogues. Have that be your takeaway from all this!

WW,
I admire your patience and skill in coding SB. If anyone's mastered the language of SDT, it's you. There's nothing wrong with what you've done or how you've progressed the program; there's inherent limitations in Flash and the program Konashon made so long ago. I wish I had a portion of the dedication you have in doing this.

I also want to mention that I hate ratings; whatever the scale is (N), there's really N-2 choices: unless someone's expressing disgust, the lowest rank will not usually come up, and unless the item apparently descended from the heavens in completely perfect order and is exactly what each subjective user is looking for (which, of course, isn't the same for ANYONE), very few will use the highest rank. In otherwords, on a 1-5, most people see that as 2-4; 1-10 is 2-9; and so on. No one is going to use a 5 or a 10 (or a 100, etc.) on the average, and you can't "shrink" the scale, because if the scale was 2-3, everyone'd use 3 for every occasion.
Ratings scales suck. Just ask people if they like it - simple yes or no.
