Operation Yellow Anvil
Phase 3
Srg Angel Snow report
"We had arrived at the Allied camp, we had given them our prisoners when an officer arrived, "You're the strike team? You have a visitor." She told us to follow her to a tent. There were four young women there, "Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Sergeant Chelsea Montanegra." said the one who appeared to be their leader, a blonde woman who looked impassive, "And this is Echo Squad." She added, "Miranda, Ashley and Elena." "We were sent there at the beginning of the conflict by the command," she pulled out a device, "By the way, we have a message for you." The face of our superior appeared, "Glad to see you arrived without too much damage, sorry for your loss. Echo Squad is joining you to complete your mission. We know the enemy leader is at the front, your objective will be to capture or shoot her. However, she will be heavily escorted. We have an opportunity to end this conflict, I'm counting on you. Dismissed!" Chelsea pointed to a dozen soldiers who were waiting: "We'll be accompanied by two allied squads, now I think we know everything, we can go!".
1 hour later
Our transport had arrived at its destination, we were one kilometre from the target. When we got there we were southwest of a ruined building, behind it was a smaller building, the target must have been in one of them . Our allies went ahead to the south, one group entered the main building from the west, Echo Squad went west. 5 minutes later our allies reported enemy presence to the east and next to the small building. Looking out a broken window, we saw more enemies to the north. An ally opened fire unsuccessfully on a target on the other side of the building. Her target returned fire and a bullet hit our ally in the pelvis and she collapsed on a pile of bricks. One group started a firefight with the enemy on the other side of the building, determined to avenge their comrade. To the south the enemy fired at our troops who were trying to take them from behind, scraping the cheek of one ally and hitting another at the pelvis, they returned fire and hit one enemy in the shoulder, Blakely hit one in the arm and breast and strafed another in the chest. The two leading soldiers, although wounded, resisted: the first was shot while trying to pick up her weapon, the one with a scratched cheek took a bullet at the base of her neck and in her left breast, fell to her knees, but despite this, the wounds were only superficial and she avenged her colleague by killing her murderer with a bullet through the heart. Blakely went on to shoot another target with two bullets to the torso.
To the north, Myriam saw the soldier who accompanied her take a bullet in the chest without flinching and taking advantage of the surprise of her opponents, Myriam emptied her clip, throwing 3 to the ground, wounded. One of our group tried to enter the large building, Clarisse went first, but as soon as she went through the door, she was mowed down by the bullets. Another ally tried to go through a window in the building, but a bullet hit her in the face, killing her instantly. The ally to the north, unaware of her wound, wounded two enemies. Rosalie and Chelsea managed to get in and Chelsea shot first, killing one of the defenders (who later proved to be one of the rebel leader's assistants). Rachel followed Myriam and injured others. Phoebe, discreetly entering through a window, shot two rebels sheltered behind a pile of rubble. Rosalie entered in her turn and shot the nearest enemy in the head and dropped another. We had broken their resistance to the south and east, the enemy leader to the northeast was within our reach and her deputies were either dead or unconscious, however, we had to hold on to the north . An enemy threw her weapon and raised her hands in the air. For my part, I was trying to reach the north as fast as I could, because 4 of our soldiers were facing about 10 opponents and even if they managed to keep them at bay, we didn't know if it would last! With only a few enemies left in the building, one tried to surrender a little abruptly and Chelsea, surprised, instinctively fired a shot and cribled her. She had a horrified look on her face when she realized her mistake before pulling herself together. To the east, the enemy leader tried to re-motivate her troops, on our side we tried to shoot her down, without success...
We had finally taken control of the building, all we had to do was clean around it. Rachel wounded an enemy, who surrendered, the others followed, and soon all the survivors had surrendered, except for the enemy leader and another rebel, but they were captured a few hours later.
Alfhild and Elena healed the wounds and managed to stabilize an ally. We had lost one of our own, our allies two of theirs, but we had put a dozen rebels out of action, so we could consider this battle a victory!"
