Not really, release is just for people who want to extend/modify/maintain whatever.
Should they choose to do anything with it, it was a worthwhile release.

I'm actually picking apart the Mod Manager source, I can probably easily get it to support multiple mods, but I want to do it the pretty way, which will require me to rewrite a lot of your code. :(

Honestly, I'll probably never get around to finishing it, because I'm lazy.

Saying my code is messy? Of course it is.
I remember saying that the manager was experimental, because I decided to develop it on a whim. Same with the loader, I just did it.
Both probably have unused variables and a load of bugs, but they are both suited to their purposes.
Good luck, I hope to see some new features.

No, I meant UI pretty. I want to make the Dynamic mod and Custom mod check boxes into Buttons that are each linked to a list containing all of the mods loaded. Your code on the other hand is very readable.

I could do it quick and ugly and just throw in some stuff to make it ask if you want to add or delete a mod instead of just deleting the mod.

Can someone confirm... I cannot get the mod loader to work on Mac OS X Snow Leopard, has anyone else gotten the mod loader to work on a Mac?

Tomorrow I'm going to test the loader on Ubuntu as well, I have a feeling that the loader will only work on Windows.

Modpatch, can you confirm with any certainty that the mod loader would NOT work with Mac?

I imagine it wouldn't work with Mac or Linux because it has dependencies with Windows.

parallels is probably the only way for mac users to use the loader. that monodeveloper thing didnt work out. i never tried the loader on parallels but it should work. all other windows programs and executables have worked for me

Only extra tools are windows specific.
Even then sources are freely available for anyone who wishes to port them.
Actual loader written in Flash, which is multiplatform.
If you can play SDT then the loader will also work.

the loadar swf works just fine its the exe that i cant get to work on mac.
Then can you write a guide to get the loader to work on a Mac, because I can't get the loader to work on my VMBox.

I put the RAWR:RAWR in the mods.txt, but loader.swf doesn't have RAWR in the character list.

The loader.swf does work and the game plays, but it won't load any character saves or mods. This is what I'm trying to accomplish, which I don't believe a single Mac user has gotten to work, same thing with linux to my knowledge.

Source for 3.9a
Take it, check out the loading algo.
Apply OS detection -> select os specific loading algo.

EDIT:
Been a while, forgot all about the loader.
The sources have a good number of downloads but nobody has posted any update or new development.
Mehhhhhh.............

EDIT2:
Source removed.
>200 Downloads with no contribution.
It's clear that nobody has any use for it.

It'd be really nice if someone could upload the fixed version of the Zero Suit Samus mod for those of us not pro enough to do it ourselves.

I can atleast confirm that the loader doesn't natively work with Mac or Linux.

I seem to have run into a problem with Loader v. 3.9b. The hairs are no longer loading properly for my custom characters, when I load them the hairs appears for a split second and then disapear. Also, Official SWFs are not working either. I now that my mod files are right because in version 3.8b the characters come out fine, but I was wondering if there is something different that needs to be done to make them work in 3.9b?
