Both Death to Spies 1 and 2 are great games in their own right. Remarkably accurate too. I own both.

Completely forgot about putting up the female enemies. Interestingly in the second game, few if any are actually armed and they usually just run, hide etc. More realistic but a let down for our purposes!

Those who know the anime Najica Blitz Tactics? I find it really cute!
I think there are some channel that posted the anime in youtube.

My favorite episode for having a cute henchwoman.

I have to agree that this episode has my favorite Najica henchwomen. I love the scene in the posted clip that starts just before the 9:00 minute mark. As they sneek onto the ship there is a cute sentry guarding the door. She only has time to let out a startled gasp before Najica stuns her and then steals her sailor girl uniform. I love the image of her body falling the foreground with her panties showing. I just wish we could have seen her tied up afterwards.

I know most people here prefer the zako being knocked unconscious or otherwise being incapacitated, but out of curiosity I want to ask, how many people here also enjoy zako deaths, or prefer it over being knocked unconscious?

Hey Servi, interesting question.
I'm ok with either one. If the zako are mildly knocked out with no lasting consequences, they live to fight another day, but I feel like they got off too easy, without much suffering, punishment, or humiliation.
If the zako are killed, obviously this is a much greater punishment and shows just how little the good guys think of the zako, but at the same time it is very permanent and means the zakos' role in the story is completely over (unless the heroes need to search the bodies).

My real preference is for something in between, with some ambiguity as to whether the zako survives or not. For example, the zako may be knocked out by a hero using martial arts or blunt weapons, but in a more ruthless way, going beyond what would be necessary to simply incapacitate the zako. The zako is severely knocked out and left motionless and unresponsive. Someone who looks closely could see she is still alive and breathing, but as long as no one cares enough to help her, she may remain unconscious indefinitely and eventually succumb to her injuries. Moreover, if the zako is left lying facedown on certain terrain, even their ability to breathe may be impaired. But will the heroes or anyone else care enough about the zako to even turn them onto their sides or face-up while they are lying helpless?
A similar thing may happen with zako who are blasted by energy weapons...the shock of the weapon may leave the zako unconscious and unresponsive, but someone who checked them closely would see they are still breathing shallowly. However, without someone willing to help them, they are unlikely to recover and may eventually succumb to their injuries.

So essentially I like when the fate of the zako is left in the hands of others, be it the heroes, other baddies, or just random passerby. They will likely survive and recover if anyone cares enough to help them, but if no one helps them, their odds of surviving and recovering are low.

I have to admit, I like the idea of a bunch of zako being defeated and severely knocked out in a public place, and then just lying there while people go about their daily business. Will the defeated zako survive? It depends. Will any of the passerby stop to help them? Or will they just ignore them, or check them for loose change and then ignore them? Or perhaps kick them as they walk by (since they recognize them as baddies).

I love to fantasize about the zako's personal background, seeing them as ambivalent characters. While voluntarily working for the evil side, they are also somebody's child, sibling, spouse, parent... living a quite normal life outside their job. Death may be the just deserts, but it's a tragedy nonetheless.

I love certain death scenes, and the possibility that a very nasty end may happen to any of the baddies, no matter how likeable they are as a person, adds suspense to the story. On the other side, it can bring relief to see them finally survive.

The right death-survival ratio depends on the overall tone of the movie.

I take my zako with a side of guro, so I tend to prefer deaths as fitting end to zakos! I also like blurring the line between good and evil. Moral ambiguity opens up a lot more possibilities too!

I like both, it depends on the situation. My principle is "zakos are aware of and prepared for their end". The one who does not have such awareness should not stand in the battlefield.

For zakos just be knocked out, as others said, they do not realize they are serving an evil organisation. They are not willing to die. They have their own life. They might be defeated badly or funnily but did not die.

For zakos who be killed, I require these must have been aware of such an end. They know what they are doing and corresponding results. They might not like death but have been ready for that. They will fight to death to fulfill their duties so it will not be sad to witness them killed. They do not necessarily to be evil, probably they just have different values, different goals, serve a different boss.

No matter which way, the fight needs to be real. Neither sides hold back or escape.

I really would like a game like this with the ability to fight many sexy Zako over a scrolling landscape to explore. Just prefer martial arts over edge weapons like this, but this looks quite nice! :) Closest game for me to do this is Saints Row the Third, but would also like something like Diablo for the looking down from above perspective for something to help with the scale of possibly moving about fighting several Zako. Having their defeated bodies remain on screen is also preferred! :)

Nice shots, got any bigger resolutions though?

No unfortunately as these were taken from a website. I used to take many screenshots when i played the game though but now I dont have the game anymore, but I am planning to buy it. I recommend you buy it yourself on amazon as it is only around 10- 20 dollars now ( depending on new or used). I am sure you wont regret the "zako factor", plus it is a darn good game.

Then you should buy the game on amazon as it is very cheap now. I am planning to buy it again so I can get the old feeling of instant turned on when I first encounter horde of sexy zakos coming after me when I was around 7 or 8

Here is one of the clips of those zakos from diablo 2 I found on youtube. These zakos have many colors. Scroll to around 5:39 for some zakos action. (Notice that this is a youtube clip with annoying commentary, you will feel more hot when you play the game yourself, trust me.)

Anyone here play diablo II will know how sexy those corrupted rogues are.
Not only they are sexy to look at. Their voices will turn you on when you actually play the game especially the dead scream :meaw:. If only someone would just play this game and post screenshots of their bodies littering hmmm.

Haha...I remember those corrupted rogues from Diablo II. Now here's a real classic gaming question: am I the only one here who still remembers the original Diablo? It was a damn fun game, if somewhat simple and repetitive (even for its time).
It also had some pretty interesting zako in my opinion, though we're obviously dealing with the graphical constraints of a PC game from 1996.
But the succubus from Diablo 1 looked much more feminine than the flying, harpy-like succubus from Diablo II. Moreover, you can download Diablo 1 pretty easily, and using a trainer and playing on multi-player you can go straight to the levels where the Succubus enemies are and be nearly invulnerable to them (or completely vulnerable to them if you prefer).
Anything your character does in a level is remembered, and bodies are permanent (at least in Single Player), so you can create pretty massive piles of defeated Succubus zako that will remain indefinitely.
I've collected some screenshots/gifs. I was really looking for gifs of them walking/attacking, but the only ones I could find were their death animations. :/
However, spriter's resource has their entire sprite sheets, so other animations should not be that difficult.

I remember those succubus quite well. Their death animation is very memorable with their ass sticking out like that :P. The real problem I had was that my character cannot outrun them or strong enough to take them down to create massive bodypiles. Btw, do you know any tool or editor for Diablo II that allow you to fight those corrupted rogues only? I saw some Diablo II map editor back then that allowed you to create maps and add monsters but it was long gone.

I have no idea about Map editors, but I still had D2 installed so I went and pulled out the monster sounds from the MPQs: D2
