There are 6 New Republic soldiers in the beginning of the movie. 2 of them are women. Here is the first one.

The kneeled officer (with a bigger blaster) is a woman. We can hear the female grunt, and I think, the body shapes are feminine, but it would be good to have a better resolution to be absolutely sure.

Since Disney took over, they have been adding female soldiers and officer into the mix in terms of expendable fodder on screen. For the most part, its the female stormtroopers and occasional female officers biting the dust. I think it was about time female Alliance soldiers have been thrown in the mix as casualty of battles.

Found a quite good movie (in German, so I don't understand a word) but there are a lot of baddies killing and the baddies is dressed very sexy

Kind of disappointed when she was not killed in a more gruesome way at the end, she got beam back to the other dimension, so, well, I guess she probably did not die at the end.
